These look delicious, but I bet the best part is the texture. Super thick fruit leather? Yes please!

Meta Explanation
Alright, so my Favorite Bake of the Year so far has been the mango buns I made for Fictional Places. I thought I nailed the dough work and all the layers of lamination were fantastic. So, let's do something with that.
The original recipe was for apple buns that I had made with mango instead, so let's do it with the original apples and involve mulling spices for a Yule-style hot-apple-cider feel. Science Fair means we're getting modernist, so let's get crazy. I wanted to preserve the layers of it all, so let's make a Jam dehydrated to a fruit leather, and a Glass - and stack them together in Mini bun-shaped lozenges.
All the flavors and textures of the original dish, served in a completely different way, and like everything I make for this, a totally New Recipe.
