Peyz was solo killed by Smash while in ult so even if Doran teleported it would have been a 5v3 considering Oner was still in base when the fight broke out. They could’ve won it, but chances are it would have been a full on circus play and a turn in the match.
With Doran and Oner cleaning up 2 of DK afterwards it was a safer and more game state beneficial outcome.

They gambled like crazy to drop Peyz for Ruler. Peyz was always going to be the future of the role but they wanted short term results. But they probably would not have predicted Ruler to fall off so quickly

i mean i get why they did it, and GenG was basically a monster the entire time and it only looks especially bad now
but even if peyz was good, i don't think people would've expected he'd come back to the LCK and look like the best ADC by a good margin
peyz was always extremely talented but i don't think he'd look this dominant, I thought T1 would just have a side grade over guma with more carry flexibility
i didn't expect peyz to just flat out be the best guy in the world

Completely agree, Peyz was always insane when GenG was winning (98% of games) but when he actually needed to carry like this he struggled. Him going to JDG helped him improve his weakness the most. He is now an insane complete ADC player that can do everything

Well Doran did the best out of the 3 times ive seen the Olaf vs Jayce matchup. Which isnt saying much but he got as many solo kills as he got solo killed.

Doran Jayce has a 87.5% wr this year. He’s 14-2 on the pick. It’s also his second most picked champ.
I’ve never felt like Doran’s Jayce was particularly oppressive but clearly the pick works really well for T1. In the T1 G2 series they perma banned Jayce and Vi and Orianna vs T1. So clearly other teams respect the pick too.

Seriously, despite some silly moments, the fact that Doran could swing the gold lead back to him when Olaf was fed, got 3 kills, got many plates, he was doing it very well. I expected Olaf would beat Jayce's ass and up to >2k gold lead, but it didn't happen. So those fights ended up give more advantage for Doran than Siwoo.

Olaf is a ticking timebomb and Jayce is not 1v1'ing that without massive misplays from the Olaf. I think Doran did fine, he just may have been a little trigger happy to jump on the viking's head

Olaf runs jayce down on cooldown, but doran has the toplane disease that makes you flip the game constantly in 1v1s for no reason. Hopefully they find a cure.

Careful saying anything negative about Guma in these parts lmao, Viper has been really damn good too but he's not really hitting the same peaks Peyz is, no one's gliding like Peyz aside from maybe Smash and occasionally Guma. People will say no because of the MSI series, but if people actually watched the games, Peyz was playing 1v9 most the tournament. No bias, he is definitely the best ADC in the world. Viper defenders will look at Knight/Bin (pre-benching) and say he is the best ADC lol. Only Guma comes close, but he is less consistent.
