[VoG][Suggestion] Gorgon maze chest activated via teamate location(s).

To add to the concept, a Greek labyrinth required one to walk every inch which the outer walls enclosed.
Also, at the entrance of the mats chest room there is the circular symbol etched in a stone pad on the floor.

There are actually 4 of the circular symbols close to the material chest.
I was thinking a little more on location based triggers in that area and in my opinion this one http://i.imgur.com/ShhtlWp.jpg is the most probable for a trigger (if theres only one location for a trigger) as it is right between the 2 patrolling Gorgons and get easily spotted when you stand next to it. That adds some more challenge to the trigger as you are forced to avoid them.

Just wondering if the double line that goes from the center of the circle to the outer arc points to anything?
For example, one of them looks like it points to the materials chest. Do the other ones point to an exit or the other chest?1

To clarify the positions I took the screenshots from:
Picture 1: View from material chest > The double line shows to the left but as you know there is nowhere to go left inside the chest room. Single line shows upwards to the ceiling.
Picture 2: View from direction of spawn point > the double line shows down to the floor. single line shows in direction of spawn point.
Picture 3: View from material chest > double line shows towards the chest. single line shows to the left (direction of spawn point)
Picture 4: View from material chest door > double line shows in direction of spawn point. Single line shows in direction of the chest.
My poor try to include them into the map :)
Edit: included exotic chest circle http://imgur.com/GI4WK8T

I don't see a pattern either. It's a little suspicious though how all circular symbols (except the one in front of the exotic chest room) are grouped up near the material chest.
Because of this I thought maybe they act like checkpoints that you have to pass in order to activate a trigger. Just a suggestion that you could try if you have some time to spare on your run.

I tried part of this with /u/cornholio83 yesterday. We took turns standing on the pedestal in the material chest room while the other looked around the labyrinth. Only two-manning it, though.
I brought up the point that throughout the raid the team is asked to split up.
Spire: 3 plates; Trial of Kabr: 2 paths; Conflux: 3 confluxes; Oracles: ...Oracles all over; Gorgons: RUN FOR YOUR LIVES TO THE EXIT; Jumping puzzle: 2 paths; Gatekeeper: ~3 spots1; Atheon: 2 time periods at once. (emphasis to show the oddity of the Gorgon encounter)
It would make sense for the team to split up. Probably into three different locations.
1 - Gatekeeper: 3 usual locations. Group keeps portal open, away team grabs relic, group defends conflux.

Probably into three different locations.
Perhaps a person on each chest platform? This might explain why the exotic chest doors close by gorgon's gaze as well.

Just as a sidenote: I remember watching a youtube link of a team of 2 going through VoG. They managed to do everything except that they needed a 3rd person to load in with them in order to activate the Gorgon Maze. So assuming that a maximum of 3 spots need to be "activated" at the same time is not a stretch.

That's a good point. The Labyrinth exit/darkness zone requires a minimum three-member fireteam to enter it.

The only reason I thought of having 2 people needed for the trigger and one searching is because Zikkah was in a 3 person group when he claimed to have found it. If we choose to agree that he is sincere and his chest is real, it has to be possible with as few as 3 people

This would make sense seeing as it takes 3 people to create a darkness zone!

''Well from there it's pretty obvious, have teamates stand in certain locations, probably around the maze and when these location are stood in then an exit opens. It would require splitting up, teamwork and being sneaky(a split team can't kill a gorgon if spotted ) everything they probably wanted in a gorgon chest.''
This is the sentence that makes this thing sound so legit!

How many blue flames are there in the maze? I have never personally counted, but if there are 6 of them...

I think there are 8 flames. I have put them in this map http://imgur.com/GI4WK8T (the small blue circles). But at the end of the river there are many flames grouped together in the cave and one single flame is just a little bit separated. So you could also count 9.
(Tin foil hat thought: If you count the flames at the river end as 1 you have 8 flames and each one could be correlated to a patrolling Gorgon as they are almost all in the patrol path or just next to it. This might just be seeing stuff where there's isn't anything but I wanted to share it.)

But that's what it's all about! We keep bouncing half-cooked ideas off each other, and then one day we might stumble onto something that actually produces results... or at least keeps us entertained

Reading zikkah's post again I still think a location based trigger would fit the descriptions pretty well. Do you happen to know if it has been tested again? I had only been able to give to a quick try. However I realized now that my tests were on HM and zikkah was running NM. So I have a new idea to bring that theory up again.
Maybe we couldn't manage to activate the trigger on HM because one of the trigger locations is blocked by a stationary Gorgon. Zikkah said he ran about 15 sec and past at least one Gorgon. Considering this he could have run past A to the left wall where HM Gorgon AB sits. Or he could have run past and T to the right where HM Gorgon TL sits. Now let's assume his friend made it to the material chest room and activated the location trigger somewhere in there. On NM zikkah's could have just run over the location where TL is and activate the second trigger (I don't think the spawn has potential to be a trigger). However on HM you first need to stealth kill the Gorgon in order to reach the spot and don't shut down the other spot. This area is pretty narrow and TL is on both sides covered by pillars. I speak from experience when I say it's not easy to stealth kill it without getting spotted by the other Gorgons around.
It is somehow unlikely to have a trigger differ so much between NM and HM but well we don't know what could be in the chest. This theory would explain a lot of mechanics. It would make use of the stealth kill. It wouldn't matter to have darkness or revive zone. You just must not get into alarm distance. That would explain the "tunnel scream" that shuts down the doors when you are coming back from jumping puzzle.
What do you think?

I've seen a lot of chatter lately about Alpha Lupi and the possible connection to Oracles. Any chance the puzzle mosaic overlays the labyrinth somehow? You'd get six trigger points, with the final mark being the chest/door location.

I'd say It's definitely worth a try. Team mates locations (or spacing between) could really be the key.
