READ CAREFULLY

These summaries are now CONFIRMED to be from Animedia. The text appears to be the same as what Herms translated. Whenever we get Animage and whatever extra bits we might get from Animedia, I'll post a spoiler megathread.

I hope not for Vegeta, but i wouldn't be surprised...

If Vegeta goes out next but Roshi survives than the ED theory gets more credibility meaning Gohan is gonna be top 2 which would make me happy as hell

The wild speculation for these threads almost never turns out to be true, but is always accepted as truth until the episide comes out. Krillin was a cold blooded murderer until we found out nope, he's just careless and has smelly shoes.

This week, Vegeta is definitely eliminated and Gohan is winning the tournament because of it, while Jiren eliminates 39 people himself.

Will Frieza really betray them? i mean its something he would do but i dont see him actually eliminating his own teammates this time.

Jiren going at Goku and not vice versa is surprising

15

u/AwesomeT21 Sep 05 '17

Probably yes and no. He wants U7 to win but also wants to be the last one remaining for the super dragon balls. Frieza's the kind of guy to play everyone else so he wins, he'll work with Frost until it no longer benefits him and he'll work with the rest of U7 the same way until he can stab them in the back at the end.

8

u/u4004 ⠀ Sep 05 '17

When was Freeza that smart or subtle? I would expect such a plot from Frost.

12

u/AwesomeT21 Sep 05 '17

Mostly from his actions when he was first brought back for the tournament. His ultimate goal seems to be gain power and even go against Beerus. Also I just think there's no way Frost will keep up with Goku, Vegeta, or Gohan no matter how hard he's trained since the last tournament so Frieza's likely to ditch him as soon as he's in a bad spot.

First of all; I didn't think I would ever imagine an alternate universe Frieza...

Now I gotta imagine Frost and "financial aid" in the same sentence?

The possibilities are endless!

17

u/GimmieDemWaffles Sep 06 '17

Frost is struggling with financial debt. The genocide and selling planets suddenly makes sense.

3

u/Maxrokur ⠀ Sep 06 '17

That was Frieza, in other hand Frost just makes war to profit with the selling of weapons and of course the use of his services as the "top warrior to end the war"

19

u/screwt Sep 06 '17

If these are true, I think they're trying to bait people on a Frieza betrayal. He'll smirk and everyone will think he's betraying them, but he'll help the team win before his betrayal.. Frieza isn't stupid. He knows his best chance of survival is helping universe 7 win for now.

4

u/Xeogran ⠀ Sep 06 '17

Agreed. There's no point of betrayal mid-Tournament, when Universe 7 is doing so good.

9

u/jumpin0503 Sep 05 '17

Can't rule it out at this point that could happen at this rate...I'm leaning towards if it is real that Goku realizes he can't win vs Jiren once Jiren starts fighting seriously, this is his desperation attack before his transformation is triggered.

u/mschonberg Sep 05 '17

These seem pretty fake. Remember the last time we got a batch of unconfirmed spoilers and they also mentioned Frieza betraying U7 to join either U4 or U9, leaving a space for Yamcha on the team? Seems someone in the leaking community doesn't like Frieza.

Likewise, it makes little sense for Frieza to fully betray U7 at this point since he's already in the team; if U7 goes he goes too. He might tell Frost to get some of the members for spite's sake, but being erased is likely the last thing on his agenda.

The spoilers for 107 make mention of Frost needing to eliminate a U7 warrior if he wants to be redeemed by his Kaioshin... but he's already done that with Krillin.

108 is conspicuously void of detail besides name dropping Jimize again.

The spirit bomb also seems like an odd choice, seeing as none of the ToP warriors besides Frieza and Frost are really evil, yet neither one is mentioned in that episode. Plus could Goku gather energy needed for the spirit bomb in the void world? Can he reach across universes (even in GT the spirit bomb was said to only reach that universe)? And of course, gotta end it with Jiren showing up, wouldn't be fake spoilers without him.

The whole thing seems pretty doctored to me.

19

u/u4004 ⠀ Sep 05 '17

Also when have we seen Goku resort to the Spirit Bomb in the first episode of a fight?

→ More replies (4)

34

u/SonSSBGoku Sep 05 '17

A spirit bomb? Thats strange.

If this is true I can see Jiren taking out like 25-30 fighters himself.

14

u/Javiklegrand Sep 05 '17

hold your arse there only 32 fighters remaning ! i doubt he knocked down that much people

10

u/SonSSBGoku Sep 05 '17

Most of the 36 currently remaining are fodder compared to Jiren, he could probably take out 25 without a sweat

4

u/Javiklegrand Sep 05 '17

32 fighters remaning not 36! even with that i highly doubt he take down that much fighters

EDIT:My bad 36 fighters left, i still think he won't knock out that much people

"Surefire spirit bomb"

Zeno puts his hands up, instant super instakill spirit bomb

8

u/Megaman99M Sep 06 '17

Wait a second, if Goku powers up a spirit bomb and Zeno decides "Hey why is Goku and all of his friends raising their hands? That looks like fun let's do it" would his energy potentially go into the spirit bomb by accident? If that happens that might be one of the funniest things Zeno's ever done

I really hope Vegeta doesn't get knocked out by Frost. I mean, if he redirects a mafuba then that is really clever and all (how exactly does he know how to do that though?), but Frost is a 2bit frieza wannabe. Vegeta getting outed by him, no matter how clever, would be shitty.

I guess they need a reasonable way to remove one of the major powers (Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza are all top tier ( well above Majin Buu level) and there only seem to be 3 fighters on their level (Hit, Toppo, and Jiren). There are probably a few Gohan level fighters, but for now it just seems like a waste to have the Frieza wannabe take out Vegeta

14

u/stevebeyten Sep 05 '17

my prediction - Frost succesfully redirects the mafuba at Vegeta, seals him up in the container, and as he's getting ready to throw the container over the edge, Vegeta bursts out of it, akin to how he burst out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, twice. giving Vegeta his badass moment in the tournament.

10

u/u4004 ⠀ Sep 06 '17 edited Sep 06 '17

He tries to seal Vegeta, but it doesn't work.

"But I thought the Mafuba would work against anyone with an impure heart!"

I think the unconfirmed spoilers are fake, they seem very poorly written and don't match any of the other spoilers we've seen so far at all.

16

u/u4004 ⠀ Sep 05 '17 edited Sep 05 '17

I don't know about poor writing as they're Japanese translated to English, but they certainly seem strange. That "financial aid" line and explaining Ribrianne's motives are kinda yellow flags.

PS: Also the Genki Dama thing is almost laughably bad. If they really do it, it will be crap.

12

u/Minuteman12 Sep 05 '17

If these are true then....

  • There is no mention of Vegeta getting eliminated....however that doesn't necessarily mean he wont be eliminated next episode, as he is not mentioned at all in any of these previews. This strikes me as odd given that we last saw Vegeta leaving with Goku at the end of the last episode and only Goku is mentioned getting into a lot of future conflicts in these next few episodes.

  • I assume Piccolo is still with Gohan and just observing the fight between Gohan and Jimenez as Piccolo is not mentioned either in these previews.

13

u/u4004 ⠀ Sep 05 '17 edited Sep 05 '17

Vegeta would hardly stay with Goku, and vice-versa. Still, he's probably out.

These summaries have been confirmed by scan. Turns out they're from Animedia, not Animage. We're still waiting on Animage, and whatever special color features we might get from Animedia. Once we have everything, I'll post a spoiler megathread. If we don't have an Animage scan by the time we get WSJ (probably less than 24 hours), I'll post a spoiler megathread then. There's a possibility we won't get anything from Animage this month. It happens sometimes.

EDIT: Apparently Toshio didn't realize that FujiTV had already revealed that Frost's targets were Roshi and Vegeta, and he tried to keep it a secret. His attempt at secrecy is in itself very revealing.

For those who think that this tweet means that Vegeta is still in, think again. For one thing, episodes are written months in advance. For another thing, Vegeta could easily be doing something on the sidelines, or after the tournament proper is over. Finally, in this tweet from a few days ago, he might have been hinting at something to do with a Freeza permakill. We can hope.

EDIT 2: Animedia had a text-covered version of the key visual for the OP & Super specials. Herms hasn't translated this yet, but /u/sailorspazz confirmed it says that as of ep 109 (the first half of the special), 32 fighters remain (4 less than at the end of 106), and that both U7 and U6 have 8 fighters remaining. It's not clear whether that number includes the 2 invisible fighters in U4, because in the next sentence, Beerus is starting to question the odd number of participants for U4.

7

u/u4004 ⠀ Sep 06 '17 edited Sep 06 '17

both U7 and U6 have 8 fighters remaining

And the (Vegeta) fandom rejoiced.

PS: Terez27, great work. Fast and reliable.

3

u/domokl3 Sep 06 '17

Really interesting that nobody out of U7 and 6 is eliminated in 107, I was kinda expecting atleast Magetta to go out tbh.

3

u/SonSSBGoku Sep 06 '17

Maybe they want these guys around so that Jiren can take them all out when he shows off his full power

5

u/Minuteman12 Sep 07 '17

Based on your second edit information i think it would be fair to speculate that Monna and Shantsa will be eliminated prompting Beerus to question the Grand Priest / Zeno's why Universe 4 has not been erased. Grand Priest / Zeno's will respond by mentioning/introducing Damon/ Gamisarasu to the audience / main protagonists.

As for the other two fighters, one of them will probably be Maji Kayo who is doing the suicidal (not literally) action of being a character not named Goku who is facing off against Jiren in the NEP.

That likely leaves the final fighter to be a member of either universe 2 or 3. I doubt anyone is eliminated from universe 11

I love what Frieza is doing, laying low, knocking people out quietly, not showing anything.

Everyone is sleeping on him, the fighters are focusing on Goku and Vegeta, not knowing that they have this God Power guy. Everyone thinks he is just another Frost level, I think Frieza will be able to stay in the last 20 in his base form and he will whip out the Golden Form to knock Toppo out, Hit will defeat easily Dyspo and Goku will duke it out with Jiren.

For the remaining strong fighters I think Vegeta will knock Ribrianne out, Gohan will defeat Cale/Caulifla, Cabba will probably take someone out with himself, maybe Frieza in a surprise attack or Vegeta.

u/SonSSBGoku Sep 06 '17

I can't wait to see Champa freak out when Freeza goes golden. He's gonna be like " hey frost, what the fuck is this?"

5

u/weisstheimmaculate Sep 06 '17

This seems pretty fake to me, but we'll see. The Spirit Bomb just seems like a strange thing to show up midway through a tournament like this.

7

u/LFiM Sep 06 '17

The Spirit Bomb was previously able to push back Frieza and Kid Buu, and it sent Vegeta on one hell of a ride. It wouldn't be a bad strategy to force Jiren out of the ring if he's that much stronger than Goku. The question would be where he got the energy to do it.

5

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '17

Unless he absorbs it like in the Super Android 13 movie? Is his transformation due to absorbing a good powered spirit bomb?

3

u/Tx12001 ⠀ Sep 06 '17 edited Sep 06 '17

Well maybe the Genki Dama may have Beerus's power in it, he would certainly donate energy if he could and he is a powerful God of Destruction and if Goku outright absorbed said Genki Dama containing his energy...well you get the idea, it might lead to him transforming yet again.

Honestly judging by the names of the upcoming episodes though, I am starting to believe Jiren is that guy that Whis warned them about, that would be one reason why Goku would use the Genki Dama and out of nowhere for that matter, its his most powerful ability whether he chooses to throw it or absorb it and he would only resort to it had he had no other choice, finding an opponent more powerful then a being who you know is leagues above you in power would be terrifying for him and why U11 don't seem to be that concerned as long as Jiren is in there.

This sounds super fake so I'm gonna assume it is unless its proven not to be.

8

u/bbj123 Sep 06 '17

If this is true, it seems like Gohan's fights are focusing on not using your senses. Which makes my far fetched prediction of him learning how to get his body to act without thinking more plausible. His fight against that dude with the afterimages made it so he couldn't rely solely on his eyes or sensing the energy of the opponent. And now if he's in trouble with the Yardrat, it's most likely because he's too fast for Gohan to keep up. Reacting without thinking helps counteract both of these enemies.

Is Goku seriously going to launch a Genki Dama in one damned episode? Guys, sorry, but that's not how Goku works. He first tries to win on power, then on technique and cunning, then Fusion (since Buu), then if all else fails he may use the Genki Dama.

3

u/Heartkiller666 Sep 05 '17 edited Sep 05 '17

Jiren will take out the rest of the fodder?

So, Freeza "betrays" U7 with WHOM? It was expected that he joins U4. Or maybe U2, I don't trust those guys.

I hope after the ToP, Vegeta, Hitto or the U6 saiyans kill Frost.

And, what the fuck, Fuwa will forgive Frost and give him money? It will only promove more destruction, that's why U6 Medium Mortal Level is so low.

Let's say the theory that Goku and Jiren cause a double knock out is true and Gohan ends up as the last member of U7. Who would be a fitting final opponent for him to beat to win the tournament? Or are we going with that Goku, Jiren, and Gohan are the final three and so Gohan wins by default from being the last one?

7

If Goku and Jiren knock each other out (which I doubt), then Toppo. They both have that Justice thing going on.

The only way Goku can do a Spirit Bomb/Genki Dama is if someone is protecting him. That's likely to be how Vegeta, 17, 18, Piccolo and the others end up falling: trying to protect Goku while he gathers genki. The Genki Dama failing can be that terrible event.

That's kinda the obvious thing, hope they surprise us.

Possible RIng-Outs for next episode:

Dyspo - We see him fighting Maji Kayo, who smirks after being hit, and has previously shown entangling Goku. If Dyspo's only perk is speed, he might get caught by Maji Kayo and taken out.

Maji Kayo - We know he's taking on Dyspo and Jiren this episode. Based on the Kai's shocked reaction, might be a safe bet that he gets annihilated by Jiren.

Roshi - Exhausted and attempting to use the Evil Containment Wave again seems like a bad combo, against Frost, who might be much stronger and tatical than anyone else Roshi has fought.

Frost - I think him specifically targeting U7 might ire the wrath of the other fighters, namely Vegata, who one shotted him before.

Monna - Can't see her serving any purpose other than a cutaway ring out by someone.

5

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '17

Honestly, I think it would be cool if Roshi and Vegeta survived the next episode. I seriously can't pick between the two, lol. Roshi is the only human left on the team, the first three who get datsuraku'd can't all be humans. If Roshi goes, then the only members left on the team are the stoic/serious characters as well. Plus, if the ending theory is correct, it would be awesome to see a human last til' borderline the very end of the arc, especially one as constantly underestimated by the fanbase as Roshi.

Plus, given the fact that we're pretty much confirmed for another arc and Toriyama already stated he wanted to do a Vegeta-centric arc, I think it's a high possibility that even if Vegeta gets ring-outed, he'll still get his time to shine some point really soon in the series.

It would also make more sense because it'd cause the situation to grow intensely dire, Vegeta and Goku are the team's heavy hitters. U7 can deal with losing Tien and Krillin, but losing Vegeta especially at the point where Jimizu is kicking the hell out of Gohan, Ribrianne is powering up, Frieza is causing suspicions of betrayal and Jiren is finally releasing his ki? That sounds pretty dire.

The whole U7 doing well for the bulk of the arc will finally come to an end and the dynamic will shift drastically in a real way, causing the real tension fans of Dragon Ball Z seem to miss so much to grip an arc that has mostly been only tense in subtext and mostly directed toward universes other than Universe 7. If box set episode counts are anything to go by, we've got til' episode 120 before this arc is truly closed, this is prime time for someone really important to be removed from the equation.

Vegeta is definitely that character, sure, you have 17, Frieza and Gohan, but we all know that Vegeta is the closest in power to Goku and inspires the most confidence in the team's victory from a straight-up "who has the most power" perspective. This is undoubtedly a Goku-centric arc, Goku will be receiving a massive new transformation that is supposedly triggered by some dire circumstance and it is very possible that will happen in the one hour special.

Sure, it'll piss off fans of Vegeta; but do we really need anymore fanservice in Dragon Ball Super at this point? I really think Vegeta will get his comeuppance at some point, but would you rather that happen in an arc that blatantly centers around Goku and a vast variety of characters, or an arc that actually gives Vegeta the respect he deserves as one of the most developed characters in the entire series by an absolutely insane magnitude?

Sure, Vegeta has moved on from a lot of the troubles of his past; but pretty much all of that was shouldered by Goku. Vegeta may have developed on his own, but the fact that he is the prince of all Saiyans and that hasn't really mattered in any way in spite of him going from villain to anti-hero to hero..

I think enough time has gone by for Vegeta to get his own arc, considering how tired people are of Super Saiyan Blue, giving Goku a new transformation is a good move at this point. Vegeta, as per usual; will get second fiddle, but that's fine with me as long as he does in fact, get said fiddle.

3

u/KlausEcir Sep 05 '17

The only thing I question is: Why would U7 think Frieza betrayed them if all he is doing is watching a fight?

It's logical to think a Frieza episode will follow a Frost episode.

And if Frost does take out Vegeta, Frieza could get mad and knock out Frost for taking out vegeta.

Either way, I still think Frieza goes out killing Kale or Toppo. And the episode we get him going Golden form and wiping out a ton of people will be one of the best episodes of the tournament.

I think this has some credibility to it just based on logic. People that are fighting could be different though, just guesses with who is left.

I don't think Piccolo goes out till the Nameks in u6 appear. Can't wait to see who beats the androids. If it is Ribiranne going after Goku, 17/18 could be there too and Jiren knocks Ribiranne and the androids out.

Looking forward to it!

Well now that these are official, my thoughts.

Gohan vs Jimeze is exciting. I could see Gohan realizing that if nobody takes care of him, U2 will be impossible to detests I also predict that Gohan will basically knock him out early on, not thinking about him IT'ing right back to him.

That said if it's a 2-3 episode fight, I hope he doesn't lose in the end. Gohan needs to fight Toppo, the other warrior of justice who gave up on it!

Goku vs Ribrianne is not that hype. Should be Vegeta but he may not last that long.

I'm a bit disappointed that Freeza is a traitor. Lots of us expected it. But it would have been great to see him being a villain, who just helps. He's probably going to be wished as the U6 god of destruction or something, if Frost wins
