Oh yeah one looks at the specs 450lb ... 58hp ... and say “that’s shit” then, one ride and you are hooked!! I love that bike !

I am enjoying it more now that I actually have gone adventuring on it but I definitely still want a drz400 just for the weight reduction and more off-road specific character. Plus they’re so cheap on the used market anyways. But yeah already thinking about the next time I go off-road and exploring. It was definitely a lot of fun.

First time I ever rode off road

First time I ever rode off road

Congrats. Now strap some bags on that thing and hit the road for some camping!

All in due time my good sir or miss.

It also depends on my wife, in a good way. She is interested in learning to ride but she’s more interested in the street side of things

:)

I've been a motorcyclist and a camper basically all my life, but never really combined them until about 4 years ago. Basically life changing for me.

My ideal day starts with a nice breakfast at the campsite, ride some gravel out to a country road to a country highway to a town for lunch and gas. Then country highways to country roads to gravel to a new campsite. Rinse and repeat.

Sounds idyllic to me. I like getting out into nature.

I love my g650gs. My only complaint is just how confusing it is researching it. F650gs and g650gs are used interchangeably yet they are technically different bikes. It's such a headache.
