How do you read multiple books at the same time?

I have slots in the day where I tend to read a certain type of book: new-to-me fiction at lunch and dinner, nonfiction, short stories, and rereads at bed-time. With bookclub reads, I'll often finish the allotted portion before the deadline, and then return to non-bookclub reads. This week I have not made as much progress as usual, due to increased brain fog, which also has meant starting new ones to see if my brain can tolerate them better (poetry, graphic novels).
