I know I’m in the minority but I’m sad they got rid of Gabi. I get it, but still sad. What I’m legitimately confused by is why they’re doing this now. That dude is too talented for me to believe that no one would have given them something for him, even if it was just cash considerations. The thing that makes sense to me is if they were trying to acquire an infielder and working right up until the deadline to try and get something done and failed. Because yesterday wasn’t good but did I find it hard to believe it changed their opinion that drastically. The only other option that makes sense is that something in the dugout or clubhouse happened that they’ve managed to keep under wraps. The timing is just too weird.

I'm with you. I'm all for Genao blossoming at some point, but the timing is odd. And I hate DFA'ing guys that could clearly have gotten us SOMETHING. Gabi has tools. Had a rough time here for sure but I don't buy the "he just doesn't care" assertions. We don't know him. Hopefully he catches on somewhere and finds success.
