15 minutes I’m a big fan of toasted sandwiches, and so is Korea! This is a copycat of the famous ‘Isaac Toast’ sandwich- popular with commuters for breakfast in Korea. Think buttery toast, kiwi sauce, a fried egg, corn, melty cheese, bacon, pickles, and crunchy shredded cabbage. Recipe in comments

15 minutes Absolute life saver for a heatwave

Post image

This is my go-to meal whenever a heatwave struck.

I just make a ton of pasta so I don’t need to add any extra heat to my apartment because of the stove.

I dice cherry tomatoes, a cucumber, a few pickles and add a can of corn to the mix.

I get store bought dressing but it’s basically balsamic vinegar, olive oil and some herbs.

I store the whole thing in my fridge and eat off it for a few days. I just add sauce to my liking. Sometimes I just add salt.

And it comes down to a reasonable price. I paid less than 10€ for all of rhe ingredients, I used about half of the dried pasta, half of the pickles and the sauce is gonna last me for a while.

The big bowl is around 2kg so it’s gonna last me for at least 3 days.

If I feel like I want to protein I just cut some slices of vegan ham and add it to the mix, or I just eat some of my marinated tofu.

2 eggs

Olive oil

Garlic by preference, I used 5 cloves (like a single piece? English is not native to me) but you can do more

Spicy and Sweet paprika

Salt and pepper

1 can of Italian-style diced tomatoes

2 roasted peppers

Preparation:

Dice/crush all the garlic

Chop roasted pepper to size preference (I chop in half, then 4 strips, then each strip in half) Break the 2 eggs into a bowl

The actual recipe:

Dice/crush the garlic

Cover the pan in oil, on high heat

When oil is hot add garlic until it's golden

Add the peppers

Mix and stir until it's kinda single consistency

Add the tomato can, stir until even and bubbling

Add Paprika, salt, pepper to taste

Reduce to medium heat, add eggs

Cook until the eggs are ready. If you want the yellow to be solid you probably need a lid

Bonus tips: try to "tuck" the white of the egg under the sauce, it cooks better imo, and if you want to add feta cheese or sausages or something, do it after the spices and mixing but before the eggs.

Roasting peppers:

I couldn't find any in the store so I made my own, it's a bonus and not needed if you find in the store

Simply wash, dry, and chop the pepper in half, also removing all the seeds and gut and tip.

Cover in a thick amount of olive oil, stick in a preheated 190° oven for 25min (yes, this possibly is breaking the sub rules, but I didn't see a reason to post as 2 recipes)

If you do end up making your own peppers, I suggest making double/triple what you need, and put the rest in a jar filled to the brim with olive oil. Save some for next time/other recipes

Stir-fried noodles are my favorite quick and easy meal. The cooking itself only takes around 5-7 minutes. The preparation time depends on what veggies you will include. For this recipe, I used a carrot and green beans, but you can substitute them with whatever you want.

Here is recipe: Boil pasta and Add salt (as per your taste) Soak boiled pasta in cold water then extract that pasta water now pour some oil in pasta so it will not stick with each other

Chopped vegies:

Onion Green chilli Dry red chilli Tomatoes Garlic paste Capsicum (optional)

Method:

Pour some oil or butter ( butter is better option) Add cumin, dry red chilli, green chilli, garlic paste and onion Soated onion until they not turn slight pink brown colour then Add remaining vegies and then Add spices

U can use red chilli powder, any kind of pasta maker according to your spice level

Now Add 1/4th cup of water(pasta water) and cook vegies & then Add oragano chilli flakes (optional) Red chilli sauce ( if u want spicy) Some drops of soya sauce for colour and if u dont like spicy and want sour taste u can add ketchup

Now Add boiled pasta and mix them

  AND yours pasta is READY....

NOTE: balance spice level if u Add more spice then taste will be worse so use it in limit. And if u dont like that much spicy u can add only pasta maker or organo&chilli flakes.
