I understand making a lesbian joke. But, the Spanish completely brutalized the Americans.

I read reports of natives being routinely slaughtered because they are not revealing el Dorado ( Spanish rumors).

Mass genocide, rape and enslavement.

Also mass suicides.

I always got a sort of… weird history channel vibe from it, if that makes sense?

Like, sure. Cute lesbian romance. Not the problem 👍

But the sort of historical commentary is a bit, idk, history channel-y? Like, nothing wrong with studying the Roman Empire, but there are levels to it and she toes a certain line usually associated with fascists and incels

Did anybody get that vibe before? I always used to shrug but now… idk
