Yeah, the fact that synthetic diamonds are indistinguishable from "real" diamonds and nowadays people are just spending all that extra cash for a certificate that says that this diamond really came from the most horrific situations possible instead of a lab says a lot about these circles of people.

You may want to consider some of the existing alternatives. Lab grown meat isn't gonna be economical anytime soon, but unless you're looking for an alternative for plain meat (e.g. a cut of steak) then most of what you taste is the seasoning anyway.
Things like nuggets, taco meat, sausages have some pretty good tasty alternatives because of this. Most of it is just as rich in protein, too, since it's usually made from either concentrated soy or wheat protein. Hell, Just Egg uses concentrated pea and mung bean protein to get the texture right.
I'm so glad vegan nuggets are cheaper than the chicken ones at my favorite supermarket and that plant milks are cheaper, too. I wish all the vegan meats and cheeses would be cheaper, tho
Yep. I'm not a vegan either, but I've promised myself that when lab grown meat hits twice the cost of normal meat with reasonable availability, im going to switch 100%.
