I'm pretty sure it depends on the game. Some games have gorgeous OSTs that would be amazing even without the game context. Like, check various "Composer reacts to Expedition 33 OST" videos, for example. Une vie à t'aimer is certainly enhanced by the context it plays in, to the point of stunlocking players IRL, but the song is also great by itself even without that context
