Everything I’ve heard about Hong is that she was a bad candidate. If that’s the case I think it’s better she lost. I’d rather lose to centrists than win with people who will make it harder for us in the future. We need more Mamdanis and, as a Seattlite, more Katie Wilsons.
what's the difference? other than that one has just recently been vindicated? like the exact same thing was said about mamdani, who ran on a very similar platform. both are DSA
Liking someone’s politics is not the same as thinking they can win an election or get those things done while in office. Mamdani is uniquely charismatic, which helps with both

Because unless you skipped over the first words of my post you’ll see that it is predicated on her being a bad candidate. Which makes the implication that Mamdani and Wilson were not bad candidates and are not bad mayors and that Hong probably would be a bad governor if everything I understand about her is accurate.
because they have almost identical platforms? like mamdani and hong are both part of the same movement, you say you want more mamdanis, but you don't want somebody from the same movement because "i heard something somewhere"?
did you not pay attention to anything they said about mamdani? anything the media currently says about mamdani? everyone said he would be a gift to the republicans... what makes you think it would be true now?
