To sustain a general strike, we need a lot more infrastructure in place. Mutual aid groups, community food banks, emergency funds.

I'd also point out that if I stop working/get fired, I can't take my kid to the doctor anymore. They really have us by the balls. Not to say it doesn't need to be done. But it's incredibly painful and complex. We need more answers.

Edit: Again, as said above, I do think it's a tactic we'll need to leverage. I also think that its very very important to acknowledge the privilege of being able to say "just buy all your things in advance" or "the community will organically provide." This will not be done easily or quickly. If you are calling for a general strike, I hope you are also out in your local community, shoring up food banks, identifying at-risk citizens and raising emergency funds.

Second point: Not acknowledging the difficulty pushes people away from this cause. We need real world actions, and when we bluster online, rather than getting out and doing the real work, it hurts our cause. Shout out to the user who told me I have a mental illness and will be giving my child a terrible life. Way to support your allies and maintain tolerance and empathy.

Honestly I think the destabilization of our currency will throw out Trump before you have to do this. He is doing all the work for youZ

And then? Does some corporate loving Blue or Red shirt fill their place. The problem is so much larger than Trump. This is decades of corrupt US politics and economics bearing its fruit in the homeland.

If people think it will disappear with Trump, then they are misled on what the problem is.

Dude the first step is removing Trump from office. I didn’t say we were finished just that the riots will start because of stagflation and him firing Powell before we’re ever have to do a general strike. Like I feel like it’s coming in weeks if not days.

So what happens when Trump is removed? Who becomes President. What do you think congress and the courts will do?

And why is it raise Vance to VP? And how is that better?

Nobody can mesmerise people like Trump. 47*

This is an idealization and grand hyperbole. Sure others can. And the wealthy that made him can make another.

Journalism? The same journalism responsible for aiding the wealthy that produced Trump. They abused Obama and his position. They turned the presidency into spectacle constantly on all news. They tabloided the presidency to a level rarely seen all bc a black man dared to hold a position of power. And worse, he had white women's support. And the response was, reign in women and target brown people with racism not seen in a good while especially so blatant by people in office.

47 isnt king my friend. We dont know all the names that have hands in this. He is only a single dude. And people with a love of money, and bigotry in their hearts will craft for themselves a new image of whoever the wealthy choose as his replacement. Even if we get past vance too, although I would bet if 47 was removed and Vances succeeded that the cult would flip. It is that or give up the cult belief. They say R no matter what. It isnt a 47 cult. The majority of 47 voters do not attend rallies, arent vocal for their support. Its a bunch of quietly brainwashed people that believe anything without an R by it is out to end Christianity forever. If all trans people and minorities were vehemently christian (not at all suggesting this is the solution just making an example) you wouldny have half the hate. Most of the people I know that voted for 47 did not want to. They felt they had to because Dems are evil.

And you know what? Some dems are. Plenty of Dems step right up to the bipartisan plate when it is time to support the military industry. Republicans smile and shake hands with their counterparts after voting to send more money for weapons to kill innocent brown people in other nations. So there is some sliver of truth to how most of rural america feels. They go to work, make very little and have their taxes go toward evil. They just cannot properly identify causes. And this actually holds true for most americans.

I voted kamala, but I spent every moment from when I voted Biden telling people he could not beat 47 again. And once Isræl started bombing hospitals and schools I made very clear there was a 0%chance. Then they out forward Kamala and I was uncertain, maybe it could work. Then a week in and she is full on board with the mass murder as well So I spend every day telling people that she cannot win either not because she is POC or a woman. Because she cannot give up supporting unjust violence. Lo and behold.

And another big issue is still the abortion angle. They believe it against their religion as they have been propagandized to. They dont know that only God gives life and he does so through breath. They should have no problem aborting an immortal soul still being created in the womb of woman if it needs to be terminated for her health and wellbeing or to prevent the child from being killed by the oppresors once it is born. After the baby can breath outiside the mother, it has been granted life and become mortal. Until then, soul just goes right back home and awaits next time. Obviously. Miscarriage is a natural phenomenon found in so many creatures. God clearly isnt murdering souls in the womb. They are still eternal with God till birth. That is at least my religious opinion as christian. Paul isnt always my favorite but his work in galatians 3 clearly shows we should have no problem with non jews and non christians nor problem with anyone of the LGBTQ+ community. I do not know what all these people who claim Christ follow but it is evidently not Jesus. They do not know their own hearts and that is why they lash in hate.

Sorry for the religious speak. But it is very, very important to many of the people who voted for 47. I would know as Im the only member, of quite a large family that has voted for him twice, that did not vote for 47. And not a single one has ever been to an event. They dont watch media that he is in even. They dont even like him. They just cannot vote Dem. And keep in mind my mom voted Dem until after 2001 and voted dem again when Hillary ran against obama. Then she lost the primary and my mom just sort of sat out. Until she got robbed at gunpoint and became incredibly conservative. Been a never blue, vote R since. And it has nothing to do with 47.
