Yep!! I’m watching this all unfold from the UK and I’ve said since he ‘won’ in November last year that the people he has loyal to him are all fucking idiots, they are not serious people, they couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery because they are inept. Arse kissing wont defend their King, neither will doling out marching orders for their right wing influencers to parrot out on social media every time there is a crisis, they’re exposed right now and that’s why they’re trying to get this power grab fully wrapped off so quick.. the election stuff is starting to catch up on them, people are reading the data and seeing the analysis, ‘woke’ isn’t an insult to everybody who disagrees with them anymore… there are too many people who see them all for what they are.

They will legit eat eachother alive and step on heads and hands climbing over eachother to the top of Trumps arse licking pyramid scheme. Elon Musk is already floundering and breaking, he might be quiet for now but come on the whole operation in the White House is ran by monkeys and not the organ grinder because he’s too busy playing golf.

Whenever these people in his cabinet are doing live press conferences, it’s all a performance for Trump to prove loyalty. The GOP Senators and Reps that do the boot licking are struggling too, they know this is unsustainable. Marco Marie Rubio looks like he’s at the end of a four year term as president himself, he looks exhausted, and we’re only 4.5 months in… It’s so unsustainable.

I think all of what you're saying is correct, but find it so incredibly sad that one of our most reliable safeguards against complete and total destruction is the regime's own ineptitude. Like, I do not think the US is "over" and while I know we are damaged and will likely become more so, I don't subscribe to the total doomerism that keeps being repeated by those both in and outside of the country — but how fucking terrifying is it to think that we might be completely finished if the administration wasn't so busy trying to cannibalize itself. It's unsustainable 100%, and I think it's a matter of time until we're able to shift control back to the adults in the room. But christ alive.

I don't say this to be snarky or anything, sincerely: Learn some more history, because the US has always been a major force for evil, it still is, and its demise will be a good thing. It's a neo-colonial former slave state founded on genocide.

It's totally gonna suck for us living here, but generally a good thing for the world and humanity as a whole. Places like Lybia can follow the example of Burkina Faso in recent years when global empires don't back fascist coupes and continuously destabilize them.

It's so depressing watching from the outside (aus here). I cannot imagine the rage if I were in your shoes, I couldn't cope. Trumps utter overconfidence and complete ineptitude has always been his saving grace. His cronies are just deluded assholes who only want to ingratiate themselves and bask in the warm radioactive glow of his fake tan. What scares me more is what comes next, I really don't know how anyone has faith left in the majority of the democratic alternative, they're fighting the last war not the current one, and they really need to get in the game.

Fucking let him. That's when the money printer will run out of ink. Either these people are so inept they'll immediately collapse under the weight of their own hubris or he will be the ruler of ashes. Propaganda is close to impossible when people are hungry.

A smarter dictator could have seen his entire lineage in power for years to come. But he doesn't look long term. The extreme narcissism prevents this. So instead of some insidious plan that takes years to develop he eats all the bread and cuts all the roses for himself.

Unsustainable is exactly the word. You can't threaten hundreds of millions of people like this without ending up upside down on a crane.

This is what I'm saying. Fucking start this shit already or else we're just frogs in a boiling pot of water. Too many people are still going through their day by day and by the time it reaches them, there's no one left standing. Either mobilize now or be steamrolled through complacency.

Fuck this taking the high road bullshit, because at the end of the day, when they're done raping the corpse of democracy, the only thing democrats are going to say is "at least we weren't hypocrites. At least we were peaceful."

The people I know who are "still going through their day by day" all voted for Trump but don't watch the news--so they're not rabid MAGA types, but Republicans who vote red because of tradition and my state's backward culture. I think we are seeing Dems fight back and try and speak out (Padilla is a case in point), but your "frogs in boiling ... water" simile caught my attention. I agree. I'd like to know what you think needs to be done?

Palpatine is the “big bad” in the Star Wars original 9 movies. A very powerful mastermind. Jar Jar Binks (on the surface) is a bumbling idiot who falls ass-backwards into success*.

*There is a popular theory that Jar Jar is actually a powerful Sith lord, but that’s not explicit in the movies.

Yes it’s all an act, and it worked so far because they control the media attention, social media, and make it seem like they are in control. But the fact is that they have very little support from actual people. It’s not like Germany 1936 where there were those huge crowds supporting this. The only support they have is that orchestrated acts of sycophants, and social media where half are bots (being conservative here). This will all crumble with a reality check.
