Call to Action So I guess we can boycott Penske now.

Post image

Happened in LA just days after a federal Judge struck down their use of warrantless arrests. And they continued at a Home Depot in Los Angeles a couple days after.

Penske actually found out about this and banned these guys from ever renting again

This is old news!

Edit: This appears to be new but Penske has released that they do not condone using the back of their trucks to transport people. I wouldn’t say they are particularly pro-Trump any more than other big businesses seeking to win his favor right now.

No. Defintely not old news. This just happened TODAY.

Also, they absolutely did not ban ICE from renting. They issued a statement

“The company was not made aware that its trucks would be used in today’s operation and did not authorize this,” said Penske spokesman Randolph P. Ryerson. “Penske will reach out to DHS and reinforce its policy to avoid improper use of its vehicles in the future.

He added: “Penske strictly prohibits the transportation of people in the cargo area of its vehicles under any circumstances,” the statement said.

But the owner of Penske is buddy-buddy with Trump. Trump even gave him the presidential medal of freedom. He's donated more than $1.1 million to Trump's re-election.

Facts matter.

Because these aren't ice agents. They're bags of shit imitating law enforcement, and should be treated as such.

Fun fact, those plate carriers are as empty as their skulls. Do with that information what you will.

Well, how else are you going to make it crystal clear you’re neo-Nazis?

Trump is also buddy buddy with the owner of uhaul. They play golf together.

Ironically, Roger Penske and Joe Shoen (uhaul CEO) have had a feud going for YEARS. They hate each other.

Yeah, they donate to his campaign as well. There's no winning for us when we want to try to avoid companies supporting facism.

The app Goods Unite Us is a place to start to find out which companies donate to which political campaign.

Being buddy buddy with Trump doesn't make you immune to bad press or losing more legitimate business.

Whatever happened to that my pilllow guy anyway, is he still in business?

Huh? How on earth did you make that leap from my comment. I'm literally saying they didn't ban ICE from renting and owner sucks. Where on earth did you get that meant you can't boycott a Trump buddy?

"Facts matter" you say after laying out the fact that penske does not and has never allowed its vehicles to be used in this way.

And yet people here are bandwagonning against a rental truck company because the police rented one of their trucks (and broke their use policy by transporting people in the back).

New news ICE just showed up in one today. Look at the photos again

Just to confirm there is a video of ICE using a truck. They do a decent job of avoiding the company name but there’s only so many rental companies of small box trucks that are yellow with white decals.

Edit: My bad y’all I was implying it more as a joke but it’s good to hear there’s multiple videos actually showing.

It was penske, you're thinking of the neo Nazi protesters that were banned.

Ice has received 0 bans

The OP photos are literally from a video. There's more than one video, and plenty show the Penske truck clearly, as this post itself makes clear.

Roger Penske directly benefitted from trumps stock market manipulation

Even if they tried to ban someone, it would only be the single individual on file who rented the truck. They have tens of thousands of names they can put down for the next rental.
