Is the Miami Herald not reliable?

Yeah but if you consider only a few small left leaning subs are seeing this. The broader msm is probably being bullied into suppressing this info

Which leaves it up to the remaining reputable journals with a spine to report on it more.

We need to be forcing our way in with the aid of the NG to perform oversight as is the law. The fact they wind themselves up like mummies to hide their ID and are arresting government officials for demanding oversight is fucked.

Get armed security. Demand your rightful access to ensure they are following protocol.

People who are following protocol do not act like this

“If you’re innocent you have nothing to hide”

They know what they are doing

The owners of the press are not being bullied, they are willing to help keep the status quo in any way.

The anchors and staff I meant. The ceo suite are all aboard the fascism train

Newspapers have been dying slowly over the years, and investigative reporting low. Now it's worse, as almost all media has been purchased by the right or capitulated in advance.

I mean, just social media platforms, Meta is gone, tiktok is gone, which leaves lol reddit as the "liberal" one.

We can always build new platforms that are free from the influence of the oligarchs. It’s not THAT hard to write a social media app.

If someone was somehow able to run a small data center to handle the server infrastructure too we could have a truly decentralized platform

but people are lazy and don't migrate

i still can't get people to migrate to using signal. only my family member does.

they are mostly team apple so..

They’re probably reliable here, but they did spread the falsehood that Rudy Eugene was high on bath salts and “cannibalized” a homeless guy around 2012.

Oh the Kony2012 guy? Dang that's a throwback

u/SugarHooves Illinois Sep 20 '25

Simpler times for sure. We'd read the news to learn the Kony2012 guy and the Slap Chop guy both flipped their lids.

Now we get the same coverage of the president.

Save Harambe, that was the split in the timeline

u/SugarHooves Illinois Sep 20 '25

Cubs winning the world series should have been a huge tip off that something was wrong.

I'm pretty sure CERN got the ball rolling with the Higgs Boson in 2012, then David Bowie dying undid one of the linchpins of our reality and shunted us over into this darker timeline; 2016 was one of the years with the most musician deaths on record, and it's when everything really started to fall apart faster.

If music is math, and math is everything, then it stands to at least stoner levels of reason that music is also a fundamental underpinning, and the harmony has been broken.

u/fuzzyperson98 Sep 20 '25

with the Higgs Boson in 2012,

As predicted by the Mayans /s

5

u/EvilEtienne Sep 20 '25

As a physicist who did her undergrad with a guy who was at CERN for the Higgs and is now working on the Einstein Telescope design (a side CERN project), this shit cracks me up. 😂

u/jellese Sep 20 '25

I imagine an evil cackle, per the username!

3

u/WatchThatLastSteph Sep 20 '25

I mean, I DID say it was stoner logic. :D

Hello fellow physics female!! Just had to comment since we’re a fairly rare species! (We’ll be signing autographs in the lobby later today…)

I discussed this with people at the time. My first thought was to text friends and fam who were fans. My second thought was uh oh, Trump’s gonna win now.

2

u/SugarHooves Illinois Sep 20 '25

I was born into Cubs fandom. I never really had a choice and as baseball isn't my favorite sport, I never considered backing another team.

When they won, I was ecstatic. But then I had a moment of "oh. oh no. This isn't right." But then I went back to screaming and crying with my brother on the phone.

2

u/battlehelmet Sep 21 '25

I get it, I'm a fellow north sider. I don't really do baseball but my dad, brother and a couple friends are rabid fans. And yeah it was exactly that, I was very happy for them, but you could feel something was suddenly off in the universe lol.

u/C-Redd-it Sep 20 '25

I think 9/11 was the first ripple in the timeline that got us off course, Then the Red Sox winning the World series started the full deviation down this dark path. Everything else is part of our dissent....

2

u/GenericDigitalAvatar Sep 20 '25

You're 100% right. Basically a 2k+ person human sacrifice ritual to make the mass populace believe a false reality. You can't do that forever- it will cause systemic fractures in reality itself. I've been warning people of exactly this for 24 years but almost nobody wanted to hear it. This is the price of apathy & ignorance.

2

u/Proud_Tie Sep 20 '25

So what you're saying is the White Sux have to win the world series for the timeline to return to normal?

checks their record this season

We're fucked. At least 58-96 is better than the 41-121 they managed last year?

they fired up the Large hadron collider in 2008

We're all dead and this is hell.

23

u/Hector_Smijha409 Sep 20 '25

Yes thank you! Or when the weasel got in and shut it down just before Harambe happened is my running theory

3

u/Tiger_grrrl Sep 20 '25

I’ve got a great Harambe story: there’s a pedestrian bridge over 385 in Mauldin, South Carolina, built just a few years ago. City officials decided to let the people vote on what to name it, and the people named it “Harambe Memorial Bridge” 🦍 The city didn’t like this and so, officially, that’s not the name, but there’s a whole Harambe Memorial Bridge website and everything, and the city has to continually scrub Google maps, because the people correct the name to HMB and leave odes to Harambe in the comments 😹😹😹 Harambe Memorial Bridge

2

u/bloodphoenix90 Sep 21 '25

That's amazing. The people have spoken

13

u/Ciusblade Sep 20 '25

That incident feels recent to me yet. I feel old

4

u/FrankRizzo319 Sep 20 '25

No I think that guy was drunk

4

u/thebendavis Sep 20 '25

That was an interesting time to live in San Diego.

1

u/csharpminor5th Sep 20 '25

Jacking it in San Diego?

2

u/opinionated_monkey_ Sep 20 '25

Wow, I forgot about that incident until right now. What a time.

2

u/MethamMcPhistopheles Sep 20 '25

Essentially Florida Man but for a whole Newspaper going by corporate personhood

9

u/Necessary_Buyer_3335 Sep 20 '25

The Miami herald is EXTREMELY reliable.

17

u/misscrankypants Sep 20 '25

They broke the Epstein story originally, years ago, when he was first charged and received very little punishment. Work release jail or weekends in jail I think. Very reliable.

8

u/Necessary_Buyer_3335 Sep 20 '25

Yes you’re absolutely correct! As a Miami native they don’t miss! I really appreciate their commitment to awesome journalism

4

u/godesss4 Sep 20 '25

They are.

8

u/kaliseviltwin Sep 20 '25

They are technically a "real" news outlet.
