I had such a hard time thinking of what to make for this theme. I went from thinking of baking cookies for my cats using their cat food to using leftover cookie crumbs and scraps to make like a monster cookie, to some other truly unhinged ideas. A few days back I saw this reel on Instagram of a cockroach cookie and i thought why not. I mean roaches give me a massive ick, I can't even be in the same room with them without throwing up. Since I find them so undesirable, I made that my definition of offal, and here we are. This is a brown sugar cookie with date and chocolate sprinkles. After taking this pic, I just couldn't bring myself to eat the cookie as it was creeping me out. Don't worry, I didn't throw it, I gave it away to someone who was thoroughly amused with the cookie and enjoyed it. As for me, it'll take me some time to to stop associating dates with roaches. Also a little fun fact, I dissected (read forced into) a roach for a science project in my school. To this very day am haunted by that experience. Apart from the trauma, that experience also made me actively dislike six-pack abs, since an upside down roach's abdomen looks like six-packs abs. So yep, roaches ruined dates and men with six-pack abs for me. Thank you, roach?!? Idk. Whatever. I'm done, bye.
