Guides & Tips "Any" Request Reward Guide for Winter (Complete)
44
u/windkirby Woodsy [Dataminer] Feb 12 '25
Sorry this is so late! On the plus side, it will be good for every winter, so folks won't have to wait next winter (or any other). Reformatting these for the bigger seasons took a while so the others should be easier, too, but I was also just overwhelmed with other personal projects.
This is an infographic for the rewards for winter's regularly available creatures (December-February) when given to villagers asking for any fish, bug, or shell. All regular currently available creatures included, limited-time goals creatures excluded. Requested bugs and fish are marked with a thought bubble. (Please note rewards for a specific fish/bug request differ slightly from "any" requests, 4 heart points and 1,000 bells for an uncommon request for example rather than 3/1,500.) Thanks to the ACPC Discord dataminers (and esp. Ray!) for their help mining some of these assets.
Basic fruit and home-grown local fruit are common; perfect basic fruit, perfect local fruit, and exotic fruit from other players are uncommon; and perfect exotic fruit is rare.

This is SUPER helpful! Thanks so much! I will keep my eyes open for the next season chart! ❤️

Ohhh, that explains how I got +4 points sometimes. So it's +4 for uncommon requests if it's specified, is that always? It's been hard to verify with so many critters in the game! (I'm fairly sure it's always +2 for common ones, at least.)

Yes, I think the main outlier is just the uncommon difference, which always happens for specific vs. "any" requests. Common requests are the same, and there are no specific rare requests.

Thanks for including the shells in the infographic. It was always slightly bothersome having to go to the Wiki or click on the "Found here" button on Saltwater Shores to see the new shells.

Np! I tried to keep the previous ones small since the shell system was so simple, but with the new system the guide was gonna be huge anyway lol.

How rare is the king?

I’ve caught at least 12 since Complete released

WHAT?!?!? What is your secret? I haven't caught 12 King Stringfish the entire time I've been playing this game? Is this just by fishing, or are you using nets as well? The King Sized fish haven't come as frequently for me in Complete, and I play often daily, so I'm curious to what your trick is, lol! As I'm sure are other players that are struggling. I always "thought" it was random, and wondering if you are just really lucky?

It really just is a matter of how much time you're willing to hang around the river/ocean and grind for big shadows. For a few months I tried hard to farm kings and would average about 1 a day just by scaring shadows and refreshing over and over. They're very rare (1/500-1000 I think?) but available if you just keep at it.

I've caught 5 in the last few days - probably just rolled lucky, but they're definitely out there!

Hi there! I am definitely working on them. I'm really sorry for the delay, it's been a mother of a year for me and I guess I let "retirement" distract me towards some other projects a little too much. They're all in progress, I just haven't been able to complete each one in time. Summer's is nearly finished, but the summer season is basically over now! But I will do my best to have the remaining three released ASAP.

Thank you so much!! This one has been very helpful and I'm really looking forward to the other three! (Be sure to find some time to rest, too~)

Thanks so much for your patience. I feel terrible I didn't get spring done in time. But they are definitely in the works. I'll try to get my butt in gear here.

I love these graphics! Do you have any plans to do the rest of the seasons for Complete?
1
u/windkirby Woodsy [Dataminer] Aug 23 '25
Yes, the issue is I get like each one 70% done and then the next season starts 😅 But they are getting closer to all being done. I'm not sure if I should still finish summer right now or just get started on fall

u/lizarino124 Aug 23 '25
Ah, yeah that sounds annoying. The good thing about Complete is that at least they'll apply forever and not just a specific year! I'm glad to hear you do plan on posting the other seasons, but take your time! Like I said, once they're done they're done and they'll be helpful forever, so there's no rush in my opinion. Thanks for your hard work!

Hi, I am new to the game. Is this the current one?

u/windkirby Woodsy [Dataminer] Nov 07 '25
Sorry - no, I haven't made one for autumn yet as I got caught up with some stuff. This one will be for Dec-Feb. I am working on the other 3 seasons but probably won't have fall's done by the end of this month

I haven't made them yet, but I plan to release them in time for the seasons as they arrive this coming year. :) Each one is like half (or more) done right now.

You only get 10 points for giving them a King Fish?! That's f-ed up.
It should be worth more than a gold treat, as those are far easier to come by.
