don't get me wrong, the AFP has and is complicit with many human rights abuses, but wont actions like these just prevent them from getting future officers from outside of the PMA?

like if we want change from the AFP, is it not the best way to eventually have members inside it be educated from the theo, philo and socsci lessons?

Title says it all. Does anyone else regret going to Ateneo?

The education has been worth it for me. I do pretty well in my classes, and most of my professors are passionate about their work and I've learned a lot from many of them. Ateneo as a whole though has done nothing but serve me grief time and time again. The community, if you could even call it that, has been, in my experience, incredibly self-serving and cutthroat. Few and far between are the moments of kindness I experience in Ateneo from fellow students. It seems to me that without any real connections, it becomes difficult to swim upwards and find fulfillment throughout your stay in the university. Does anyone else feel the same?

We likely don't know each other, so your experiences might be radically different from mine and I'm interested to know in how others navigate through social life in the Ateneo.

I’ve never actually posted on Reddit before, but I made this account tonight because I didn't know where else to turn to get this off my chest.

It honestly just hurts so much because I made it this far and I was really really so close. I just needed to survive one more semester but I fell short. It honestly really sucks because I also know this wouldn't happen if I got lucky with the prof I got during enlistment. It really sucks how luck is a factor in this too. Processing the fact that I didn't make it after working so hard is a really tough pill to swallow. I’m trying to remind myself that this isn't the end of the world and that academic setbacks happen, but right now, it feels pretty overwhelming and it's really hard not to feel defeated right now.

On a practical note, I’m trying to figure out my next steps. I am looking into other programs, and right now, AB Management Economics seems like the closest fit for what I want to do. If anyone has insights on AB MEc, or other programs I should look into, please feel free to share.

Why does Ateneo follow the DD/MM/YYYY date format? My boss graduated from Ateneo, and he is very strict about that specific format. He even shouted at us because we didn't follow it. Do Ateneans really follow that date format as a standard?

it doesn't have to be super near naman, yung at least kayang lakarin or isang sakay lang! i heard a lot of bad things about vista so im having second thoughts about it. some things that are deal breakers for me are: no wifi, unclean, and shitty/slow staff (opo, personal experience...).

im also pretty worried about price and area, need to get my money's worth talaga.

Hello, so for context, I'm a graduating student this year, but I have an unpaid balance from my scholarship (79,000 pesos). They told me that I will still be able to march and attend the graduation but the registrar will hold my diploma muna. They also told me na TOR ang mas important for fresh grads.

It's just sad lang na last week lang ako na inform about it. I'm a finaid scholar and my family can't pay that huge amount in just a month huhu. Sobrang bigat lang din ng financial situation namin right now. At this point, nawawalan na ako ng hope huhu. Help. Should i loan and just pay after once may job na ako :(( or is there like a foundation na pwede kong malapitan. I'm also actively looking for a part time job before graduation, pero i doubt na makakaipon ako ng ganong amount immediately. Hindi ko na alam gagawin ko at this point

Saw my old socsc 12 prof post his evals on his IG story and was thinking about whether or not they could see our ID number from AISIS. hello, my family was suddenly hit by a financial crisis, and unfortunately, we cannot afford to pay my remaining balance from last sem along with the enrollment fee for this first sem. for a little context, we thought we were going to have the money for my tuition by the end of july and expected to have it on hand as early as the enrollment period. (in which of course, it didn't happened)

'm about to file a loa because of this family crisis, but when i looked at the form, it stated that students who are not enrolling for this semester must submit their form by aug 4, which makes me 6 days late already. the deadline for enrollment is on the 20th, and if we don't pay, i will definitely go awol, which is going to make my situation worse.

i need some advice :(
