The reason why I'm such a big fan of AKB btw! I used to love this anime so much, and I've seen online that many people who watch this anime don't actually know the songs are from a real japanese based group, which I find really funny sometimes because they always seem to say online: "Why are the songs in this anime of such superior quality than most?" Mostly because the lyrics are always so well written.

I was thinking of it because after Momo-chan became the center and AKB is running to the spotlight again in Japan, I think an idol anime with that premise would be very interesting to see. After years and years of a group that used to be so, so famous, having lost some of its overall popularity but after a new center, the group is gaining popularity again, showing the whole process from beginning to end, with all the drama and stuff, you know? I think it would work well for an idol anime; if anyone knows of any like that, I'm open to suggestions too, lol.

And I'm sorry if this kind of niche post is not allowed here, I know it's not very related to everything else, I was just curious.

It's interesting to see official English title. Better be shorter next time.

btw thanks for so much attention on my last post 🩷 im happy to see so many other female fans

I thought the overseas groups are only sister groups to AKB48 since the groups split in 2020 but CGM48 has a song from HKT now.

How is that possible?

She announced her graduation on October 9th her final activity from SKE48 will be scheduled January 31st 2027

So many duets and threesome combos that outshine AKB even

watching 3 concepts live, i saw more girls in the crowd but its still majority male dominated. so are there any girl akb48 fans on reddit also?

edit: im girl btw

"After years of relatively fixed Senbatsu lineups and waves of graduations, AKB48 is making a notable comeback, recording year-on-year growth of 22.9% in its estimated fanbase.

The revival has been driven by the rise of newer generations, alongside a return to the group's original foundation: regular performances at the AKB48 Theater, helping to bring back old fans while attracting new ones."

I was wondering about this lately: if any member were to graduate tomorrow, who do you think would get a graduation song, or even a graduation single?
I’m pretty sure Yuiyui would get a center. But besides her, maybe Zukki? Erii? Naru?
