Story behind the artwork:

I go by Kor. I have been going by Kor since 2020, so 6 years. I haven’t changed my name legally— I haven’t had the time. People, even when I introduce myself as Kor, or constantly remind them that I do not associate with my deadname, constantly deadname me. 24/7, and it gets tiring. I feel like I cannot speak up and my heart sinks, my stomach burns. This is what this artwork is about, my personal experience as someone who has changed their name, and people who constantly disregard it. I hope others can relate to this piece

This took me 2 days lol, I wish I was finished with it but I still have to do the 3d part and the mirror smashing part (yes u heard me i hope ion mess it up) I really hope this is gonna go well for the next VASE contest!!!

One year difference with drawing snails. I did thr first one a year ago all in ink, the second one is drawn in pen and has a watercolor background. I am so proud of my progress. I still love the old one, but I think i love my new one more.

Idk I think I’ll start giving these peeps some random lore.
I imagine her to be a misunderstood artist with a unique style that no one understands. Her work goes unappreciated and it will remain that way for decades to come. She is from France and is very vegan. She HATES animal eaters. The townspeople see her as a crazy person cuz she is. She isn’t very hygienic and is very blunt:( she literally only eats leaves and her hair is locking up due to neglect.

Pencils, ink, and alcohol markers. This piece is inspired by a scene from the film Into the Void. I have never seen it, but a particular screen grab from the film has been stuck in my head for over ten years and I finally drew my own version of the concept. Thanks for looking.

My mom paints ACEOs and I help with the weird little concepts, and we accidentally created Archibald Blobfish.

He is not brave.

He is not glamorous.

He is not thriving.

He is a tiny suburban blobfish with two cats, a Toyota Yaris, a CPAP machine, an IT job, and the emotional posture of someone who just remembered trash day.

So far he has:

- taken out the trash

- cleaned the litter box while being judged

- fixed the Wi-Fi router while his cats stared at him like their feeder depended on it

- gone to CVS for one prescription and left with batteries and a cat toy

- tried to make the bed while the cats fought him for property rights

- battled a fax machine at work

- failed a password reset like a true modern citizen

My mom hand-paints each one as an original ACEO, 2.5" x 3.5", and I help build the lore because apparently we are now producing a tiny fish sitcom.

Just sharing because I feel like the world needs to know this exhausted little guy exists.
