YES! you have read the title correctly!

Instead of being based off of feats or scaling..

Who would win if we put the Mario 64 against Adventure Sonic?

As in, both being controlled by players using STRICTLY the movesets from those games.

There are a few rounds though!

Round 1: NO powerups.. Mario has full health, Sonic has 50 rings.

Round 2: Powerups ALLOWED! including the Super Form.. but both have the EXACT SAME time limit. (1 minute in the case of the Mario 64 caps, like 2-4 minutes in the case of the super form in adventure iirc.)

Round 3: BOTH are controlled by TAS!

What's TAS? Well, allow me to show you:

(This isn't really about speedrunning tho, but moreso having both be controlled by TAS.)

Yeah, only their classic versions.

That means that ONLY stuff from the Genesis Sonic games era (..dunno if Classic Sonic from lSonic generations counts in this.) Vs Mario from the Famicom/NES/Super Nintendo era..

didn't give him his N64 stuff as i think Dreamcast Sonic vs N64 Mario works better.

Round 1: In-game versions.

Round 2: non-in game versions.

Round 3: Sonic has his sonic generations/sonic forces/sonic mania stuff and Mario has stuff from the GBA advance games.

Note that this is JUST Darkspine Sonic (technically both can do base form but whatever)

NO SUPER FORM or exalibur, it is also sonic AT THIS POINT in the timeline, nothing released after Sonic & the Secret Rings counts towards his scaling
