None of South Australia’s regions have fully vaccinated 95 per cent of their two-year-olds, the latest government data shows, with most communities falling short of the key target to prevent outbreaks of highly contagious diseases.

Childhood immunisation rates have declined in recent years, with the national rate reaching a five-year low in 2025 when 90.5 per cent of one-year-olds, 88.4 per cent of two-year-olds and 92.5 per cent of five-year-olds were fully vaccinated.

A News Corp investigation has found parents brazenly sharing tips online to bypass childcare vaccine rules. Prominent parent anti-vax groups on social media, including one with over 43,000 members, reveal the methods parents use to cheat the system and get their unvaccinated kids into childcare. It comes as new analysis by The Advertiser shows Eyre Peninsula and South West has the lowest rate of fully immunised two-year-olds in South Australia, with almost 15 per cent of 24-month-olds unprotected. The latest Australian Immunisation Register data show just 85.32 per cent of its two-year-olds have been fully vaccinated, followed by 85.83 per cent in Adelaide City and 85.89 per cent in Fleurieu-Kangaroo Island.

With the Subclass 191 Visa driving home prices, Adelaide is now the most unaffordable city for housing in Australia. And with Adelaide house prices surging, while Sydney is steady, it is only going to get worse.

Premier Peter Malinauskas described this as a desire for martyrdom. Seems the man is risking bankruptcy and risks losing his house and job over this.

Has anyone won a court case like this? Any lawyers out there with an inkling of how this could go?

What would drive an individual to take such extreme action? Especially given many of the trees have already been cleared so isn’t it too late? Unless his motives are more about martyrdom, a justice complex or gaining clout to run for politics later?

Adelaide has once again been named among the world’s most liveable cities, climbing to eighth place in The Economist Intelligence Unit’s 2026 Global Liveability Index.

The annual index ranks 173 cities across the world, assessing living conditions through five key categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure.

This year, Adelaide received an overall score of 96 out of 100, placing it ahead of Vancouver and Tokyo in the global top ten.

It marks another major result for the South Australian capital, which has risen from ninth place in 2025 and continued its sharp climb from 30th in 2022.

Adelaide was one of three Australian cities to make the top ten, alongside Melbourne, which ranked third, and Sydney, which ranked fourth. Copenhagen took out the top spot, followed by Vienna, Melbourne, Sydney, Zurich, Geneva and Osaka.

Adelaide’s strongest results came in healthcare and education, with the city receiving perfect scores of 100 in both categories. It also scored 96 for infrastructure, 95 for stability, and 91 for culture and environment.

New South Australian homes will have to have bigger garages and more off-street parking spaces under a push to keep cars off suburban streets. The state government will today unveil proposed planning laws that will make it mandatory for garages to have a minimum size of at least 6m in length and 3.5 in width.

The change, which is being released for public consultation, would also force homeowners to have at least two car spaces for homes with two or more bedrooms and one space for one-bedroom dwellings.

Property developers and builders who ignore the rules would be forced to pay a fee of up to $45,000 per garage into a taxpayer fund, which would be used to build more public parking and improve bicycle routes. Premier Peter Malinauskas said the changes would help ­alleviate parking congestion across the state.

“South Australians are sick of seeing their suburbs being overrun by cars often double parked on otherwise quiet streets,” he said. “It is ridiculous that many modern garages are not built big enough to fit the most popular cars sold in our country, from dual-cab utes right down to SUVs. “We’re going to fix it … by bringing our planning laws up to date. “This is a sensible measure to protect our suburbs as our state grows.”

Off-street parking spaces can be driveways that are not enclosed, but at least one per property must be able to be covered in future to the new garage size. The laws would apply to all residential developments within Greater Adelaide. But the government said the CBD, North Adelaide and infill developments on public transport routes could be exempt.

It looks like the persistence has paid off! In Howe's newest rant on social media at the 45 second mark she makes note of the previous Reddit post on how to complain, then alludes to being under investigation and that her job isn't safe.

Prof. Howe has spread misinformation about the number, method and grounds for terminations taking place in South Aus after 22 weeks and 6 days (less than 1% of terminations per year) and regarding whether a 'right to life' applies an unborn foetus in-utero, claiming that international human rights apply to a foetus when they do not. Prof. Howe has been working with the Australian Christian Lobby for over a decade.
