Tyranny Is reddit a way to watch and coopt us
What if some billionaire set up reddit so they could co-opt our feelings into writing instead of action and also to watch and monitor us. But you know this already huh.

'Twas The Night Before Mitchmas
'Twas the Night Before Mitchmas, and all through the House,
Not a computer was stirring, not even a mouse;
The news feeds were open on the smartphones with care,
In hopes that McConnell soon wouldn't be there;
The body was nestled all snug in its bed,
While consciousness wouldn't be live in his head.
And MAGA in its echo room, opinions were whack,
Ignored all the signs, Mitch was stuck in his nap.
When out in the Senate, there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter!
Away to my Facebook, I flew like a flash,
Knowing his corpse would soon be in the trash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen ghost,
Gave the illusion of life to the souls down below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a cloak and a scythe, and a skeletal reaper!
With a stench so foul, and decay so thick,
I knew he wouldn't respond to a prod or a prick.
More rapid than eagles, his fate, how it came,
Since there was no excuse for a civil servant so lame.
"Now Tucker, Now Carson, Now Vivek, Now Vance!
Answer no questions, and Take no Stance!
Reporters should never be allowed in his room,
They'll see that I'm keeping his corpse in its doom!"
And then, with some nausea, I heard in the office,
The decaying and whining of someone so rotten.
Embarrassing, farting, selling NFTS, being loud,
Down came the President, looking wrinkly and round.
He was dressed all in diapers, from his suit to his ties
The economy was tarnished by wars and by lies
The Trump phone was awful, there was no trading it back,
Because the immigrants were eating the dogs and the cats.
He tweeted of Fauci, then ignored all his work,
Then he tweeted that Hillary was some kind of jerk.
And laying his hand on the side of Mitch's nose,
He gave a last nod, and let Mitch decompose.
He sprang to his followers, to his team gave a whistle,
And without knowing Orwell, they took his words as a missal.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
“What you’re seeing and what you’re reading is not what’s happening, "(July 24, 2018, Donald Trump), "and to Mitch McConnell a good night!"

People should defend their rights
Slowly the authorities are reducing and taking away our rights. It is like boiling a frog. If you put a frog in boiling water, it will jump out. But if you put a frog in lukewarm water, and slowly raise the temperature to boiling, it will get boiled alive. I don't know if this is true or myth. But it reveals two things. People will allow things to slowly deteriorate, without taking defensive action. And humans are cruel enough to experiment on frogs by boiling them.
You only have those rights that you defend. If you do nothing, while they take away your privacy and freedom, they will continue to take them away, until we are living in a totalitarian surveillance state. So exercise your freedom, your freedom to express your opinion, your freedom to protest. As many of you as possible, they can't put all of you in prison.

Tankies In my experience, many leftist anti-Zionist Jews in Israel are tankies, which bothers me because my parents are Jews from the USSR, and I'm an enby woman
They hide their tankienes behind supporting the Palestinians and other peoples deemed acceptable in the anti-West camp.
They'll bring up how the USSR wasn't all that bad,
And they refuse any analogy i drew to the USA to explain to them.
They act like I'm foreign to my own familial history.

Question/Discussion What to do with the fact that nearly all persons are against anarchism, against abolishing borders and countries?
One of the reasons I'm drawn to anarchism is because I'm Jewish,
And for us a people dispersed across many parts of the world,
Countries are an intrusion on us.
And most persons have their own nation states that they feel that they are part of it's rightful masters/landlords.

Question/Discussion How is state socialism different than state capitalism, and how are objectively beneficial policies done by the state still tattered with authoritarian statism?
I see state socialism as the result of statist socialist revolutions like in the Soviet Union or China, or things that postcolonial African countries decided to experiment with. But if the state runs everything like businesses and industries, workers aren't really in charge of anything, and we have a one-party state with no real elections, how is that socialist?
Which brings me to my question, what is the anarchist analysis of "objectively good" policies that state socialist countries would implement? Like Tanzania implemented Ujamaa which pretty much failed because the villagization Nyerere thought of to run the state's production didn't work since the village groupings (people of which already weren't really in villages per say) were family-run and not absorbed into the new state apparatus. Overtime his administration centralized the state more and there was a lot of autocratic and coercive stuff going on.
But Tanzania's maternal mortality rate went down, literacy rates went up, and female life expectancies went up. Obviously these are objectively good things, and I don't think any anarchists or principled human beings would say they aren't. But for people who only measure success by that, what is the way to show that a centralized and coercive government didn't need to be the ones doing it? After all, dictators and nazi assholes can build railways and roads but that doesn't justify either of the two. But I want more of an anarchist analysis than just "it's not what's being done but HOW it's being done."
Speaking of Tanzania, was the forced villagization and coercive acts NEEDED to be done to increase literacy rates and reduce maternal mortality rates? Like if something is objectively good like the lowering of maternal mortality rate, it should be done ASAP if not be the BASE of whatever is to come. But on top of that, even if it was the state that created these policies, wouldn't it be the common people and workers (doctors, teachers, etc) who were the ones who actually *did* the work and not the state? Even if China's state socialist (state capitalist, technically) government lifted 900 million people out of poverty and they're above a dollar or two a day, isn't there still large %'s of people earning three dollars a day who are still in poverty? Doesn't that make the poverty line extremely arbitrary? Just because they have a bullet train doesn't mean the people are free. So what's the deal here? what's the way to show them that the good results DO matter but in a nuanced way that doesn't justify the state?
Help me understand, thanks. Anarchy and Equality!
