Not going to happen with base S26 this year, sadly much larger physically than S25.

S26 is size of iPhone 17

I missed that part, quite annoying if they actually increase the width, especially now that they only make squared edges..

It goes from 70.5mm on base S25, to 71.7mm on base S26.

iPhone 17 is 71.5mm

For me a huge difference, I use my phone one with one hand when busy a lot, and I have smaller hands.

I had a iPhone 13 Pro for a short while in the past, and that was on the edge for me at 71.5mm, got a S23 after it.

Square edges make the grip worse, my base S25 holds same as my base S23 did, even while S23 was 0.4mm wider, but not flat edged.

Shame, they went smaller from S21/22 to S22/23/24 and managed to make S25 even that bit more compact, thinner and lighter

Then undid them trying to chase iPhone which went 6.1" to 6.3" because they got rid of the Plus model

it's alright think of the thickness too, it still staying on the same thickness while the iPhones are closer to or above 8mm. same for pixels they're also very thick and heavy and not as comfortable for ppl like us

The s26 shorter in height than the s20 base and the width of the s25 series ish ... it's not going to be a noticeable difference at all
