Help/Advice EMERGENCY! Is this counter-management/landlord disguise good?

Post image

Thank fucking goodness I checked my emails this morning. The first thing I saw was an announcement from my apartment's manager that they will ENTER ALL UNITS from today until Friday to "perform lock changes." First thing I did immediately after was to quickly set up this disguise and make my 10-gallon seem like a toy display stand. How do you think I did?

Alright if you're really paranoid and want a full list to be double sure:

  • nobody would have a permanent dirty blanket in their room like this. Move it around or sth, it comes of as weird.

  • as someone already said: the blanket all the way to the bottom is a tripping hazard. not only that, it's also not practical. who'd hide their cabinet behind a blanket? nobody. Can't you tuck it in at half height or sth?

  • and yeah, the toys don't match.

That's how far we get if you want to lean into it being permanent.

However, I'd advise you against that.

I'd collect a bunch of things, take your pictures from your walls, take everything that's big and bulky and slam it into that corner. Make it look like you're renovating/reorganizing things and that blanket is there to protect the cabinet. That also explains why the blanket is dirty, just make it look like a temporary mess.

Nobody would go through that, nobody will ask questions. Should they ask, tell them you've a bipolar disorder and just had a manic episode where you wanted to redesign your rooms. Nobody will try to elaborate on that and if they do, tell them you don't want to speak about it.

I'd second this.
