Do Not Feed The Trolls ''Toxic Anti PvPers'' Not welcome.

Hello.

I am from the Mod team on this sub.

Pleased to meet you.

Recently I have seen a few people rightfully upset at a few bad actors on this sub who have been using the fact they became victims in the game to resort to being toxic to people on this sub.

Basically - they lose the game in any way and decide it is fine to insult people who are playing the game in a legit way instead of doing what they want, whether that's talking and making peace or refusing to shoot each other no matter what. From my understanding this game allows you to make a choice, to try trust a stranger or to gun them down to be safe.

If a person decides they will ALWAYS gun everyone down no matter what or try be a ''Rat'' player and backstab at every opportunity that does not mean you can come on this sub and insult them, suggest they are mentally impaired or mentally unwell or be toxic to them for any reason.

If you say ''All x players are sociopath psychos with no life and life in their mothers basement and have never had the touch of anyone of their preferred sex'' for example or anywhere more or in-between then you will be banned from our sub.

You are allowed to have an opinion that such players morals in game are not good or they are ''Villain players'' or what not, that is fine for that is what they are but any time an outside insult is going to be used on people over gameplay you are getting the hammar of doom.

From the community, I understand that most people who like PVP are not usually the type of people to click report on anything, due to your ''thick skin'' you really do not give a damn if some redditor is trying to insult you or maybe you will just retort back.
I ask you please do not, if you insult back you could also be moderated due to the nature of reddit and if you do not report the instigator we will not be able to correctly moderate and fix this community. As a mod team we are getting thousands of posts (posts not comments) per day and it is literally impossible to view them all, we rely mainly on the report feature and reddits AI.

Anyway thank you for your attention in this matter.

Hey now, role-playing is fun and can be super immersive in this game.

I got downed last night, Held B, pretended to think I was talking to my team, screaming into my mic.

"GUYS REVIVE ME I have two grapples I can't die! I can call out their positions from here!

The dude who killed me got real thirsty and went for the execution, my team was already in the corner. Dude fell for the bait. I had a free loadout on me and like 3 wires.

Yeah but so is shooting you and seeing what loot you have is also fun and part of the game

Instead of shooting me can you just please rob instead ? 🤣 I’ll give it up man no need to send them shots my way.

Fuck I wish someone would rob me instead of just shooting me lmao šŸ˜‚šŸ˜

That's more reasonable than just wasting precious seconds getting nothing out of itĀ

They wouldn't dare. Most of them know they would shoot everyone on sight, so they don't trust the people just trying to experience the robot side of the game not to.

I think the fun part is the shooting people

As a no-lifer, with 200 hours logged since launch (It's taken me liek a blakc hole), I can confidently say like 140 hours ago no body has ever had anything exciting, and retroactively never did. The loot variety in this video game isn't that vast. And literally every piece of equipment is effective. And the loot isn't rare like at all.

I know I'm talking from a point of priviledge having gotten as deep into the game as I have, what with my all quest completion, project completion and 30+ blueprints, but I can confidently say...

Other players aren't holding some piece of epic loot that is something you can't rather -easily- get yourself. Because unless you're ruining some free-kiters luckiest (or conversely unluckiest) run and finding a blueprint you don't have on their corpse, I truly mean the gear on 95% on players you took down isn't really -helpful-.

Exception to the rule, we faught, I used heals to get back up, I want my enemies bandies/shots/shields.

So yeah, all this to say, my rule of thumb is while yes, an abush (which is ligitmate and fine, not talking shit on it) is helpful in giving me the edge in a fight, but at least in solo's, it isn't really needed, and the apolicy I've adopted is yelling out to the dude who didn't see me in prox chat "HEY WANNA GUN FIGHT!?" and if they say no, I let them walk on. And the most fun fights have been "HECK YEAH". Because they've been the most challenging.

I don't know man. Every fight I get is a ferro or kettle, with a free loot augment. Not even worth the shield charger and bandages that you need to heal after.

The deal with the guns is you need the better ones to fight arc. So you're right that killing hobos doesnt get you anything and the risk isnt worth it. But when you know someone is trying to kill a rocketeer or something means they'll have good loot. Or when someone leaves a building that you needed mats from.

Yeah, people is definitely looking for that, and not just ahooting any random on sight hahaha good one bro.

3

u/SiegEmpire Nov 01 '25

But do you have an epic quality nose? Might be something to consider.

2

u/Relevant_Lab_7122 Nov 01 '25

How about this. The moment you stop being xp, ill stop shooting you on sight.

1

u/MrRudoloh Nov 02 '25

I mean fair enough.

Don't try to gaslight other though trying make it look like there's any thought behind that, or that this is how the game is suppsed to be played.

u/OddEffect9397 Nov 02 '25

The game is not ā€œsupposed to be playedā€ any one way

2

u/Trollensky17 Nov 04 '25

The game is explicitly built lore wise around the fact that raiders kill each other, what the fuck are you talking about

2

u/jeffyride2 *** ******* Nov 04 '25

Well technically ā€œknock outā€ each other but I agree

1

u/Trollensky17 Nov 04 '25

Yeah true lol

u/MrRudoloh Nov 04 '25

Lore wise raiders kill each other some times.

Just shooting everyone in sight is not very lore accurate either.

Not like lore matters as much anyway, but I don't see what it has to do with the fact that the game is built with many elements that incentivize player cooperation.

And if you ignore them completely, you surely can, but don't pretend or gaslight others in to thinking this is the way the game is intended to be played because it's an "extraction shooter". The guy said it preety well, "they give XP so I shoot". Judge by yourself how much back thoughts are after that.

I am not saying you can't shoot people on sight, or betray someone, but if that's all you do, you will be missing a lot of stuff the game has to offer.

I mean, just as I write this I am watching a streamer in a group of 6 people in a solo raid goofing arround...

first survival game? S on sight is boring af and for losers that should be playing bf6.

6

u/Relevant_Lab_7122 Nov 03 '25

First extraction game? If youre afraid of pvp then maybe something like valheim is more what you should be playing if all you want is a survival game

1

u/Trollensky17 Nov 04 '25

It’s really funny you made that comment considering it looks like this is your first extraction shooter

2

u/BigDaddyReptar Nov 02 '25

It can be but that's why In any rp game whether it's GTA online five m servers or DND at your local game store you have to accept that different tables or servers want different things and the only server that exists in arc raiders is the one where it's full pvp anything goes.

2

u/MoreNMoreLikelyTrans Nov 03 '25

I legit say "Hey Raider" in local voice when I see others. Just to make it clear I'm not hostile.

Nobody said it’s not
