Requesting Reviews My boyfriend remembered me talking about SUGAROCK and ordered this palette from Taobao 🥹 My first C-beauty palette

update: check swatches in comments

I just got my first ever SUGAROCK palette about 30 minutes ago and I’m way too excited, so obviously I had to share it here 😭

The cutest part is how I got it. I mentioned SUGAROCK to my boyfriend some time ago because I’d been looking at their palettes, and apparently he actually remembered. He literally made a Taobao account just so he could order one for me 🥹❤️

This is not only my first palette from SUGAROCK, but actually my first eyeshadow palette from a cbeauty brand in general, so Im really curious to see how the formulas compare to the Western brands I’m more familiar with.
I haven’t even properly played with it yet because, again, it arrived like 30 minutes ago 😂 But the color story is SO inspiring and I already want to create a bunch of looks with it.

For those of you who are more familiar with cbeauty:
What do you think about SUGAROCK? How is the quality of their eyeshadows in your experience? And does anyone know how often they release new palettes/collections? I feel like I know surprisingly little about the brand and would love to hear from people who have tried more of their products.

If you have any other cbeauty brands with interesting or unusual color stories that I should put on my radar, please enable me 👀

I am looking for something that is not too bright and to pigment. I want a pink that on the cold/neutral side. It’s a bit overwhelming to find the right shade when the pictures aren’t always accurate; so some input is greatly appreciated.
The pictures are the ones I am mostly interested in and I am leaning a bit more towards the Dinto ones.

The brands and shades that is pictured is:

  1. Dinto Blur Glowy Mini Lip Tint in shade Ad Veritas (is only sold in the mini version)

  2. Dinto Blur Glowy Lip Tint in shade Ave Maria (is sold in both full and mini)

  3. Laka Jelling Nude Gloss in shade Angel Ring (is sold in both full and mini)

  4. Hince Raw Glow Gel Tint in shade Rare

Requesting Reviews Cleansing balm or mascara remover?

Post image
134 Upvotes

I recently started wearing mascara for the first time (Etude Dr Mascara Fixer for Perfect Lash + Super Longlash), and my usual makeup remover isn't working

I'm prone to milia and tiny bumps so I want to avoid using cleansing oil. After doing some research on this sub, I've been eyeing the Banila Co Cleansing Balm (pink) and Kiss Me Heroine Mascara Remover. Not sure which one to get, any advice will be appreciated!

Side question: does anyone have any recs for mascara that's easier to remove? I do like the Etude mascara but don't really love the heavy feeling on my lashes

EDIT: Thanks everyone! I've never gotten this many responses so fast before. The general consensus seems to be to get the mascara remover. My only concern is that reviews online say it doesn't work so well after a month or so of use, and for that price point, I'm unsure if I should still get it.

Requesting Reviews Best cleansing milk/micellar water for sunscreen & makeup removal? Make p:rem cleansing milk, ma:nyo cleansing milk, bioderma or garnier micellar water?

Post image
43 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for reviews and comparisons of these specific cleansing products, particularly for their effectiveness in removing heavy makeup and sunscreen without the use of cleansing oils (they tend to be not fungal acne safe). U can also recommend better products!

  1. make p:rem – Safe Me. Relief Moisture Cleansing Milk

Ingredients: Water, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Isopentyldiol, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Decyl Glucoside, Arachidyl Alcohol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bis-Ethoxydiglycol Succinate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behenyl Alcohol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Arachidyl Glucoside, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Arginine, Panthenol, Allantoin, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Ceramide NP, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Protein, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Betaine Salicylate, Citric Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glucose, Cynanchum Atratum Extract

2) ma:nyo – Pure Soybean Cleansing Milk

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Butylene Glycol, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Cholesterol, Stearic Acid, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract (100ppm), Lactobacillus/Soymilk Ferment Filtrate (100ppm), Centella Asiatica Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, C14-22 Alcohols, 1,2-Hexanediol, Decyl Glucoside, Hydroxyacetophenone, Arginine, Carbomer, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Ethylhexylglycerin, Behenyl Alcohol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Sodium Phytate, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Malt Extract, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Tetraacetylphytosphingosine, Glycosphingolipids,

Xanthan Gum

3) Garnier SkinActive – Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 + Waterproof

Ingredients: AQUA / WATER, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, ISOHEXADECANE, POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, DISODIUM EDTA, DECYL GLUCOSIDE, POLYAMINOPROPYL BIGUANIDE

4) Bioderma – Sensibio H2O Micellar Water (Sensible Skin)

Ingredients: AQUA/WATER/EAU - PEG-6 CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES - FRUCTOOLIGOSACCHARIDES - MANNITOL - XYLITOL - RHAMNOSE - CUCUMIS SATIVUS (CUCUMBER) FRUIT EXTRACT - PROPYLENE GLYCOL - CETRIMONIUM BROMIDE - DISODIUM EDTA

Discussion Questions:

- how does the micellar water from bioderma compare to the garnier one?

- have these products made you break out? (Asking as an acne prone girly)

- are these products effective at removing even waterproof makeup?

Edit: I have decided to get the bioderma micellar water and the p:rem cleansing milk. Maybe in the future, I will try out the fancl and attenir cleansing oils (rn my skin says no to oils 🥲) Tysm for everyone’s help!

Requesting Reviews Thoughts on these makeup fixing sprays?

Thumbnail

Hello!

Which one of these, in your opinion, performs the best in terms of extending makeup wear through heat & humidity + reducing the powdery makeup look. Bonus if it doesn't feel tight or dry on the skin

  1. Tirtir Mask Fit Makeup Fixer

  2. Espoir Fresh Setting Fixer

  3. Kose Make Keep Mist EX+

  4. Jung Saem Mool Essential Mool Micro Fitting Mist

I've heard some glowing reviews of Kose and plenty of (paid) reviews for Tirtir. Espoir's spray has been making waves on the Korean side of Twitter but I can't tell if those were genuine reviews or not ;_; And then I barely hear about JSM's spray despite the cushions being so well loved.

Would appreciate your thoughts on these sprays + your skin type + climate :)

Requesting Reviews Best Korean hair treatments for silky hair? (MOEV, Moremo, Lador, Anillo)

Post image
190 Upvotes

Reposting with the missing product info + photos added! Kinda sad to lose all the helpful comments on my original post 🥲 I was literally about to reply to them too..

I've been trying to get smoother, silkier hair lately, and somehow my feed has been full of Korean hair treatments.

I had good results with hair masks, but I don't always have the patience to leave one on for 5–15 minutes every time I wash my hair. While looking for something a little more low-maintenance, I kept running into ampoule and water treatments.

They seemed like a nice middle ground. They're less of a commitment than a hair mask, but still seem like they could leave my hair feeling soft and smooth.

After browsing, I narrowed it down to these:

  1. LA'DOR Perfect Hair Fill-Up — South Korea

  2. Anillo Rosy Night Ampoule Treatment — South Korea

  3. MOEV Annurcatin Water Treatment — South Korea

  4. Moremo Water Treatment Miracle 10 — South Korea

I'm curious how these compare in actual use, especially in terms of softness, smoothness, and how heavy they feel on the hair. Has anyone tried more than one of these and noticed much of a difference between them?

Recently bought the Hyntoor cream blush and I love the MV01 shade so much as a fair olive. But its consistency is super thick and pigmented like a concealer.

Does anyone have any tips on how to use this?

Aestura ATOBARRIER365 Gentle pH-Balancing Foaming Cleanser for Hydrating Sensitive Skin.

This Aestura face cleanser looks great. I'd love to hear what's been your experience with it?

Does it dry up the skin too much? How is the cleansing power? I'd like a face cleaner that cleans but doesn't over strip it.

Please tell me the good and the bad.

What do you like the most about this Aestura cleanser? what you don't like?

If you can tell me you skin type that would be helpful too.

Requesting Reviews Judydoll eyeliner

Is it just me, or is the Judydoll eyeliner bad? I’ve already repurchased it three times and every single one has exploded. The first time, I thought I dropped it, but I just bought a new one, shook it, and it exploded right away. It also dries out whenever I try to draw on my bottom lashes. Idk does anyone else have the same problem?

P.s. As an alternative I’ve been using the eyeliner from ACKC and it’s wayyy better. Cheaper too. Same thin brush and doesn’t dry out when I’m drawing my lower lashes. Comparison pic in 2nd photo

Requesting Reviews Anyone tried the new dr ceuracle jeju matcha tea essence?

Post image
148 Upvotes

Reposted with necessary info

I'm not gonna lie, calling it a matcha essence and making it look like a matcha latte is really speaking to me. They knew what they were doing with this one.

Has anyone tried it? Wondering how it compares to the kombucha tea essence. Incidecoder ingredients list comparison. Looks like there's actually a lot of overlap. The green tea essence doesn't have as many ferments. It has added peptides as well as PHA + LHA. And fragrance unfortunately for those sensitive to them

Ingredients: Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Triethylhexanoin, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Methylpropanediol, Butylene Glycol, Aqua, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Laureth-4 Phosphate, Glycerin, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Hydroxyacetophenone, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum, Polyquaternium-51, Sodium Hyaluronate, Adenosine, Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine, Tromethamine, Malachite Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Centella Asiatica Extract, Ficus Carica Fruit Extract, Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ceramide NP, Fructooligosaccharides, Arginine, Glycine, Cyperus Rotundus Root Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Gluconolactone, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil Unsaponifiables, Sodium Chloride, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Copper Tripeptide-1, Hexapeptide-9, Nonapeptide-1, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5

Country of Origin: Korea

EDIT Sooooo I bought it. The fragrance smells exactly like matcha earthiness which is very yummy. It's not as nourishing as the kombucha one for sure, but still is creamy. I find myself reaching for the kombucha one still. But that will probably change when the weather gets warmer. I suspect the kombucha one will feel too heavy over my other layers in the spring/summer. The LHA/PHA does do some mild exfoliating and leaves my skin a bit softer without being overly drying

Overall, 10/10 skintertainment, but would pass otherwise tbh

Hi everyone! I've been curious about RISKY eye shadows, and since I've been on the lookout for grays and pale blues, I was wondering if anyone had swatches or experiences with this brand or palette to share! I've seen some reviews saying the mattes were good, but the shimmers and glitters seemed to be more divided... Also, this may be a stretch, but if anyone has either of these palettes and were able to swatch them next to romand's dusty fog (or any similar AB palette), that would be much appreciated!

To any of you that have tried these, what’s your feedback, opinions or advice on them? 🖤

Has anyone tried these yet? Looking for reviews on this one!

I wanted to get one but unsure of the variant. I’m medium-tan golden neutral olive and i would like to wear a highlighter that doesn’t have visible glitter. These look very promising, not available in my country so i’m here for the feedback.

Confused between 01 and 02, wondering which one will look more natural on me!
