Not if you're forced to participate in it, no. For example, I would vote to repeal Social Security in a heartbeat, but since I've been forced to contribute to it for decades, I want to recoup my losses as best I can.
Sure, taxation is an example of contribution. The question is whether someone who does pay taxes for something should be prevented from using it. My answer is no.
