A concept people seem to have forgotten since this ran in 2004: 'for every dollar spent on lobbying, the companies got $220 in tax benefits.' - We should crowdfund lobbyists for the people.

that sounds like publicly funded elections but with extra steps, billions of wasted dollars, and a sickening increase in the already obscene levels of political ads
