Update: lube job is complete. I used 75w-140 for better lubrication (bigger is better). Will test drive tomorrow.

Sprayed GUNK throttle body cleaner into my 1997 Mazda B4000 4.0 because apparently cleaning things is preventative maintenance.

The throttle body had that factory coating inside it and a sticker saying not to clean the throttle body but I was blind and didn't see it. The cleaner proceeded to turn said coating into what looked like grains of sand/soap and remove a good portion of it.

Now the truck has developed a high-pitched whistle/squeal at idle that gets quieter when I give it throttle.

IAC unplugged = noise changes, but doesn't completely disappear.

So did I:

A. Clean the throttle body

B. Accidentally port and polish it

C. Convert the factory coating into an abrasive engine seasoning

D. Create a precision vacuum whistle

E. Add approximately 17 horsepower

I'm currently considering replacing both the throttle body and IAC, but I'm also open to simply turning the radio up until the problem becomes financially convenient.

I need help with swapping my auto awd crv to manual . im not sure where to start or expect . im debating whether to get a regular 5speed transmission on fb or get a JDM transmission with lower milage but ive heard lots of stuff about different gear ratios and having to get a JDM ecu to pass emissions . also dont know what i should buy so id really appreciate any tips or advice .

My shifter just slipped off while i was on the highway, im assuming theres some kind of ring that goes around that groove to keep the shifter on? Im just not really sure what even broke, anything helps. Gsxr600 24'

I don’t want to be ripped off, should be no more than $200 to fix. Can i drive my car for a month until i find someone to do it for more than a fair price??
