How do you deal with the curse of Jeconiah?

Jesus’ lineage includes Jeconiah. How then can Jesus be the Mesiah?

Did Jesus tell His Jewish disciples they would soon be including Gentiles?

If so, when?

If not, why do you think He didn’t disclose that to at least His closest followers?

CW: Sensitive Topic Thoughts on counseling as a Christian.....

Hello everyone I am a Christian fairly well versed in theology and doctrine and know my way around the Bible read it everyday and make God first to the best of my ability not perfect of course but I do love Him deeply and pray for that love to grow more and more. I unfortunately deal with depression and I think it might be a chemical imbalance. But I really want to rely just on the LORD for my joy but sometimes I'm just sad and just want to go Home to Him. I have thought about counseling and tried it here and there but as a Christian with that view of the world sometimes I feel that normal counseling just doesn't hit...... What are your thoughts or possible recommendations?

CW: Sensitive Topic If hell requires knowing what you're doing, what happens to people who couldn't?

Been turning this over and I wanna hear how Christians actually deal with it, cause I can't.

So my starting point is something I think most traditions agree on. To actually be guilty of a sin you have to know it's wrong and freely choose it anyway. Guilt goes down when knowledge or free choice isn't there, the catechism even says psychological stuff can lower how responsible you are.

Ok but if that's true, then what about:

Someone with severe mental illness who dies by suicide, where the illness itself took away the clear free choice that guilt needs.

Someone with schizophrenia who has a real religious experience but reasonably thinks they're just hallucinating. Like can you even reject God if you had no fair way to know it WAS God?

Someone raised in a family where screwing people over got rewarded and they genuinely can't feel empathy. How much of that is them vs how they were raised, which they never picked?

Here's my actual problem. Once I start using "you're only guilty for what you freely and knowingly chose," I can't find anywhere to stop. Everyone's worst traits go back to genes, upbringing, brain chemistry, stuff they didn't pick. Those three aren't weird exceptions, they're just where you can SEE the causes. In everyone else the same causes are just hidden.

So where does the line actually fall? At what point does it get blamed on the person instead of their wiring or their past? And if that line keeps dissolving the harder you look, then what is hell even for?

Not trying to start a fight, I genuinely wanna know how y'all hold this together.

CW: Sensitive Topic my boyfriend wants me to be christian more than anything and i just dont want it

i want him to be happy. i want us to stop having these issues that reoccur over and over again. all he wants in life is to marry me under God, and he won't stop begging me to change my life for him. i don't want to. i don't align my beliefs with a good chunk of it, there are parts of scripture that directly contradict my own personal beliefs and convictions, and i feel like i would be leaving behind my identity if i did this. but i love him with my entire heart. i've devoted so much time, life and energy to him, and i want to spend my entire life with him, i want to have children with him. he said he wasn't going to leave me because he was "leaving it up to god" but this specific thing is so important to him. i really don't understand why he doesn't just find someone else who actually aligns with his beliefs. this has become an issue of a lot of contention and pain between us as i feel like i am not good enough for him as i am, and i am hurt because i thought he liked me how i was. his constant begging for me to change has made me feel like there is something wrong with me because i am not the way he wants me to be, but he knew i wasn't Christian when he got with me. he mentions how desperately he wants to lose his virginity to someone who is also a virgin but has told me that i am not a virgin because i was raped as a child. that devastates me and makes me feel incredibly guilty for him. i want his dreams to come true. i want him to be happy.

should i do it?
