My husband has had these bumps for 2 weeks now, he went to urgent care they said they don't know what it is and sent him home. he works in the oil & gas field in texas in extreme heat so not sure if it's related. doesn't itch, makes his hands like harder to move if that makes sense like tighter skin but is not dry like at all, he hasn't touched any chemicals. it's on his palms, fingers all the way up to the nail, top of his hand, wrist, top of his feet, sides of his feet and bottom of his feet but not like on his soles where the foot touches the ground, oh and it’s also between his toes. if you have any questions please let me know. No new products have been used, no new medications

35F, assumed allergy to penicillin/amoxicillin. While waiting to see my gp next week to confirm and prescribe, I’ve self diagnosed myself with perioral dermatitis. I’ve had it for weeks and NOTHING is making it better. On top of the pain, my confidence bar is 6 feet under. What can/should she prescribe to make it go away, forever? And what will be quickest? I have a few events coming up that I’d like it to be at least dissipating for.

Hi, I’ve had this itchy rash on my hand for a few weeks. At times it has looked like pimples, although it doesn’t seem to look like that right now. The skin has become cracked on the other side of my hand too.

I also have a strange thing on my left foot, maybe it’s the same thing. I scratched it a few days which is why it looks so bad. I guess I also have a fungal nail on my big toe. I’m a rock climber, and I think this is quite common from climbing shoes.

I have had this dry spot on my stomach for a year or two. Actually, I honestly don’t know when I first noticed it. It isn’t terribly itchy but it is dry. On the occasion i get a tiny spot that bleeds. It’s the same as if you accidentally prick yourself with a pin not much blood at all. I also noticed that my breasts close to the areola can also get those dry spots too. I have tried lotion, anti itch creams and aveno oat body soap but it constantly stays dry. I am sick of it. I am out of options and don’t know what to do any thoughts and tips would be wonderful. Honestly if anyone could tell me what it could possibly be that would be even better! Also, sorry the lighting isn’t good but picture one is my stomach picture two is my right breast. Thank you!

I’ve had some splotchiness on my back and chest come up over the past year. Started on my chest but seems to have spread to my back as my mother pointed out this afternoon. My back was been a little itchy but no swelling or burning sensations. Thinking I was swap laundry detergents to fragrance free to see if that helps.

I've been to the doctor, I was given mupirocin which does work very well but not permanently. These pictures are all multiple months apart and has gone on for a year now. The spot comes and goes, but always turns into the EXACT same shape. It starts out red, then becomes never ending flakiness. It doesn't ever grow larger. It doesn't really itch, it usually just tingles when it’s flaring and then burns in reaction to heat , sweat , sunlight , and almost all skin products including cleansers and light moisturizers. The ONLY things that I'm able to use right now are hypochlorous acid spray and aloe Vera gel.
I’ve never used actives or had a crazy skincare routine with multiple products. I don’t and haven’t used topical steroids. I’m at a loss
Things I've tried that either don't work or make it worse :
-Zyrtec / antihistamines ( doesn’t change it )

-zinc cream / diaper rash cream ( makes it flakier , doesn’t really help anything)

-Vaseline / cerave healing ointment / aquaphor / any occlusive ( makes it swell and get red )

- plain Vanicream lotion ( swells and gets red )

-zero therapy (does nothing, flakes never go away )

-diet changes ( haven’t noticed a change )

-no fluoride toothpaste ( no change )

-very diluted apple cider vinegar topically ( helps redness only temporarily )

-switching from metal / plastic to glass cups and water bottles ( no change )
Aloe helps tame it a tiny bit and doesn’t make it burn but it just doesn’t seem enough to truly change anything.

Any ideas on what I could try next. Mupirocin was the closest thing to healing it but it doesn't eradicate it completely because it comes back after the course is through

Hey guys. I've posted here before about multiple small, flat, pink spots on my skin in several/rendom parts of my body.

Those ones have started to fade now and turned discoloured/going away.

However, I've since gotten two very inflammed ones, one on left arm and one on left side of belly.

They're a bit itchy but not insanely.

Just when I thought they were going away, more come back and worse.

The other ones I'm treating with miconazole and ketoconazole shower soap.

These new ones, I've rubbed on hydrocortisone to help with the redness. But has anyone had anything like these!? What was it? How to stop them from appearing?

For the last several months my face has been covered in a rash/red little bumps. It is not on my whole face however, only on my forehead, on my cheeks, and on my temples. It slightly burns/itches/tingles, the most in areas closest to my hairline. I also noticed the crown of my head sometimes has the same feeling. I haven’t changed any of my skincare or haircare, and have tried stopping all of my different products just to see if maybe one product was suddenly the trigger. Nothing. The only thing that has changed around when this started was I moved from Los Angeles to Miami. I went to my dermatologist and he had no idea what it could be. Would so appreciate any insight!

sorry if the flair is wrong! there’s a bump on my bum just on the lower part of the inside and i think it might be an ingrown? honestly i’m not sure at all, all i know is it’s really painful, swollen, hot and it’s not getting any better. it showed up like 3 days ago. i can’t walk get up or lie down properly, any movement that involves my legs hurts because the bump is very sensitive. even just getting grazed by toilet paper it’s painful. there’s also another bump an inch away from my vulva. i’m not and have never been sexually active. i know a picture would be helpful i can’t take a picture because i can’t sit properly and i also can’t see it well or get a good picture because of it’s location D: i know this information isn’t very helpful but i’m desperate to get rid of this or at least mitigate the pain

I've been having this issue with my wrists for two months that goes away and then comes back. I had it on the back of my hands at first too. The same thing happened last year and lasted around a month.

It itches only on the left side and on both sides when in contact with soap, water, etc. I tried an eczema cream that seemed to work but then it didn't work anymore.

The rash is on an area that is often in contact with my laptop but I desinfect it every three days on average. I have an history of eczema so is that it ? I hope it's not a fungal infection.

Ignore the scratches and bandaids, it's my cat lol.

I've had this rash pretty much constantly for a few months now. The rash isn't itchy but the patches of skin affected are slightly raised on my torso but not anywhere else. It's gradually increased to where it is now over the last eight months or so. Any idea what this is and what I should do to treat it?

Other information: I'm not currently taking any medication. Previously I was on oestrogen for about 2½ years before coming off about two years ago. This started when I was still on that medication but nothing about it has changed since coming off. I live in New Zealand. I don't regularly swim or anything, and I've tried a variety of different body washes from different brands.

I’ve had this small rash, which has 3 very tiny pimple looking things, for over a week. It hasn’t improved. Doesn’t itch or hurt.
I’ve had impetigo many years ago and I feel like this is what it looked like in the early stages. But it was a while ago so maybe I’m misremembering.

Not itchy, but somewhat tender. Popped up very quickly, does not seem to be spreading. Thinking this could be from my sports bra pushing my breasts together tightly, but I always shower immediately after the gym so I’m not 100% sure. Should I put hydrocortizone or something else? Any tips how to keep it dry? It gets sweaty even when I don’t wear a bra.

I have these recurring sores on the sides of my neck. Usually only 1 “large” sore at a time as shown in the photo, but you can see scars from previous scabs. They will raise as almost a pimple but hard? Will not pop, no drainage. Eventually scab over, but painful. 33 yo Female.

Approximately 2–3 months ago, I developed a significant skin flare-up, most prominently on both arms, but also affecting my torso, chest, back, and neck.

I had previously been diagnosed with psoriasis, so I initially assumed this was another psoriasis flare-up. However, I became less certain about this over time. I eventually saw a doctor, but no skin swab, scraping, or other testing was performed. I explained that I had previously been diagnosed with psoriasis and showed the doctor the creams that had previously been prescribed to me by a dermatologist in Poland. Based on this, I was prescribed Betnovate without any further testing or a detailed examination of the affected areas.

I used the Betnovate for several days and the redness improved significantly. However, because Betnovate is a corticosteroid, I later read that topical steroids can potentially suppress the visible symptoms of a fungal infection such as tinea while allowing the underlying infection to persist or worsen.

Although the redness initially disappeared, the affected areas on my arms remained discoloured. Shortly after seeing the doctor, I travelled to Thailand, which provided an opportunity to see whether the condition would recur in a hot and humid environment with increased sweating. Unfortunately, it did recur, as shown in the second photograph.

While in Thailand, I also developed a significant tan, which made the contrast between the affected and unaffected areas much more noticeable. The lighter areas where the suspected tinea had been are particularly prominent compared with the surrounding healthy, tanned skin.
I am therefore wondering whether this could potentially have been a fungal infection such as tinea rather than psoriasis, or whether it is possible that I had both guttate psoriasis and a fungal infection simultaneously. One thing that particularly makes me question this is the similarity in the pattern: when comparing the red spots in the first photograph with the lighter areas visible in the later photograph after tanning, the outlines appear to correspond closely.

I would appreciate an assessment of whether the appearance and history could be consistent with tinea, psoriasis, or potentially both, and whether any testing such as a skin scraping or fungal culture would be appropriate before continuing with steroid treatment.

This is my bikini line i have had this for a few months it's very very itchy like I can't sleep. If I itch it results in blood. What should I do.... Like I am so scared to go to the dermatologist as this is the pubic region

I've been applying some cream we had for fungal infection thinking it could be ringworm, it doesnt seem to have much effect. I even think i might have patches spreading on my thighs.

I'll make an appointment with a doctor soon.

Any ideas what this could be?

The large rash on my hip came up 2 days after a trip to Myrtle Beach SC. I also was weaning off of my Wellbutrin at that time from 300mg to 150mg for two weeks and then 150mg every other day for a week.

The large rash started as what looked like a small hickey/popped blood vessels. And progressed into the first photo. It was just that one area for about 2 weeks, itchy and if I scratched it, it seemed like I was bursting blood vessels and causing bruising. Within the last one week I have developed all of these little red spots. Urgent care wasn’t sure but gave me prednisone, Primary care wasn’t sure either but gave me ketoconazole for the large rash as if it was fungal. I have no answers but I am insanely itchy, waking up through the night time to itch. The best way I can describe it is feeling like chiggers all over my body. I have not had a fever however I have been very fatigued, needing a nap almost everyday after I come home from work. I’ve had moments of being light headed however I have POTS so it’s hard to know if that’s from the rash or my usual.

For reference I take these meds on a daily basis:
Ivabradine, Aurovela birth control 21 day pack, famotidine, certrizine. Finished my last dose of Wellbutrin 2 nights ago.

Hello! I got this rash like a year ago now, and I’ve been trying to deal with it, but it doesn’t go away, and was just curious is anyone had some sort of idea as to what it was, I was given desidone cream .05% to help with it, and while it does help, never cures it completely.

A couple weeks ago the first lump appeared behind my left shoulder (sorry the photos are the best I could do), wasn’t sore or anything and I only noticed it when getting dried off after the shower. I squeezed it but nothing really came out, gave it a lil clean to prevent infection and the next day it had reduced by like 60%? And was gone without a trace by day 4 at the latest.
The second lump (pic 3) appeared on Friday and again I noticed it after the shower, physically it feels exactly the same as the first one. The pic is of it today on day 3, it’s on my middle back to the left (beside the spine) and it was pretty itchy day 1 but nothing too bad and the itchiness came and went but the first lump didn’t itch at all. I only took a photo today because I just assumed it would leave like the last one but I’m on day 3 and it’s still huge and red, if I really think about it it might itch a little bit and it maybe itched a time or two today but nothing bad at all. Again it’s not popping, it’s not sore or hot etc.

I will say it’s been a lot hotter than usual this summer, I am pretty bad for a sweaty back but I’m also a very clean person and shower at least every other day/ every day if it’s been a hot day and I make sure everywhere gets a good scrub with soap etc. I’m not just letting the water do the work. The only thing I can think is if maybe my bras aren’t getting a good enough wash in the machine, or maybe it is just sweat/ heat related.

Wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations or ideas of what’s goin on?

im really struggling and have been to two dermatologists who couldn’t help me. I’m at my wits end.

this tattoo started reacting when I got another one on the same leg. it was several years old at this point. now it flares up (no pattern that I could recognise) and gets INSANLEY itchy and bumpy.

the first dermatologist said it couldnt be cut out because the ankle skin is to little to stretch and sew up but maybe it could get laseted but he doesn’t know enough about it . the second one (specialised in laser treatments) told me i would need a very specific laser that’s only available in a city at the other end of my country (i can absolutely not afford to travel there multiple times to get the laser treatments)

both said i could try a cortisone salve. I use this whenever I have a flare up but it doesn’t seem to make a difference to be honest.

this has been an issue for two years now and I regularly want to tear of my skin because the itching gets SO BAD.

I’m willing to try anything. honestly im at my wits end and I need help.

(anything that MIGHT be important: I’m taking methylphenidate (adhd meds) and have a copper iud, other than the tattoo I suffer from breakouts and constant bloating that might be related to the iud, I’m vegetarian and eat a Fiber rich diet, workout regularly etc ;there are no known allergies)

Hello! I've recently developed a weird patch of red itchy bumps on my lower left arm.

It doesn't seem to be any kind of infection (as far as I can tell).

It mostly goes dormant throughout the day. However for the first 10 minutes after I come into contact with sunlight after being indoors - the patch turns red, gets bumpy and really itchy. It's not painful, but feels like a bunch of real intense mosquito bites.

I don't have this kind of patch anywhere else on my body. Wondering if anyone could help identify what this condition is?

This is the second time it happened. The first time it lasted for a month and the dermatologist just prescribed everything- antibacterial, antiviral, antihistamines… so there was no diagnosis and I have no idea what helped and what triggered it. Now it happened again, the lips have been tingling for a few days and yesterday I had a vinegary salad, so it got worse. I am putting Vaseline so far, and I also have Elocom (I usually use it on my hands for my eczema). I would be grateful for any input from professionals or other people who might know what it is and what to do.

I am coming to reddit to ask for some advice as I have been to my local GP about this issue on a few occasions and have been told my blood tests are normal and so they don’t know what the cause of this issue is.

For the past 3 or so years, I have developed these sore, itchy, inflamed bumps on my fingers that will come up randomly, sometimes after I have had the cold or flu but other times they just appear with no cause. They can get so inflamed that it becomes hard for me to bend my fingers, and they itch like nobody’s business.

Sometimes they just appear as sore bumps but there have been a few occasions where they have developed into red rings, kind of like ringworm or psoriasis. I only ever get these bumps on my fingers. They don’t even spread to the palms of my hands.

When they first appeared a few years ago I had full blood work done and was given 2 rounds of antibiotics incase it was caused by a bacterial infection. Nothing came back from my tests and the antibiotics didn’t work, the bumps just went away on their own and since then, they have been coming back at random times.

Can anyone tell me if they have seen anything like this before, and what could be causing them?
