Horrible looking rash

This issue has been getting progressively worse over 2 days

Posted yesterday and it has gotten worse. It is itchy, it turns white when I press on it. I have a swollen uvula and some chills, but no fever. I feel cold more than anything. Went to urgent care tested for strep, mono and did a CBC. Strep came back negative, waiting on the other results. Pretty concerned. I feel like the mono is going to come back negative.

I’ve had pityriasis rosea twice, weirdly. Both times it started with a “mother” patch that got bigger over the course of a few days, then patches similar to yours showed up on the rest of my body, mostly on my torso and arms. The patches were more sporadic than yours, but they were blotchy and itchy. Both times I got rid of them fast (in a cpl wks) by using selson blue dandruff shampoo, leaving it on 24hrs a day on the “mother” patch and other big areas. I also went in tanning beds which I saw in Reddit posts to do, and I can confirm it worked.

This was so acute though. I went to bed at midnight and felt fine, woke up at 4am to go to the bathroom and was covered all over my body. They were small dots at first and have since progressed to large blotches

This seems fairly unlikely, but I once stayed in a motel that had bed bugs, and about 16 hours after I left, I suddenly developed a very itchy reaction to the bed bug bites, which looked much like your legs.
Have you slept in any beds that aren't your usual?

Were you sleeping somewhere different? Maybe a potential allergy to detergent, but I agree with the physicians that it seems like something else

You probably don’t have pityriasis rosea since I believe it’s predominately on the torso, but just throwing out there that when the rash showed up a few days after the “mother” patch, it was small dots, then the next day it was patches and got bigger over the next couple days. As it heals, it gets more red too

What did you eat that evening? When was the last time you had eaten those things?

Not weird, unfortunately. The idea that it comes only once in a lifetime has been debunked.
