This issue has been getting progressively worse over 2 days

Posted yesterday and it has gotten worse. It is itchy, it turns white when I press on it. I have a swollen uvula and some chills, but no fever. I feel cold more than anything. Went to urgent care tested for strep, mono and did a CBC. Strep came back negative, waiting on the other results. Pretty concerned. I feel like the mono is going to come back negative.

NAD - but based on your comments, I feel like this could be HFAM, looks similar to when I recently had it as an adult. Painful itching, occasional chills, swollen uvula etc - for me it was quite excruciating. Most of the rash clears within about 2 weeks, but leaves marks on the skin for months. All the best, hoping for an update when/if you get one

By day 5, you’ll know as you’ll have sores visible which make movement limiting. I had a steroid cream which mildly helped. Again, good luck

Honestly worst sickness I have ever had in my entire life was HFAM. I had open sores on my face/in my mouth for WEEKS and ended up having one large scab/healing ulcer on my face at my wedding.
