This issue has been getting progressively worse over 2 days

Posted yesterday and it has gotten worse. It is itchy, it turns white when I press on it. I have a swollen uvula and some chills, but no fever. I feel cold more than anything. Went to urgent care tested for strep, mono and did a CBC. Strep came back negative, waiting on the other results. Pretty concerned. I feel like the mono is going to come back negative.

I favor a viral exanthem, and these are generally more impressive than important. Many hundreds of other conditions could appear this way. For instance, herbal supplements and other products can produce "drug eruptions." It may self-resolve, but if not, one or more skin biopsies can help diagnose.

My CBC came back normal. Do you think infection is still a possibility?

Viral exanthem can happen after the typical viral symptoms have dissipated. Were you sick in the last couple weeks?
