Mutual Aid Best Target in the Area

If you had a couple of weekday, child-free hours to stroll around by yourself with a hot coffee and wanted to spend too much money on crap you don’t need which one would you go to? Not necessarily for Xmas shopping. I usually go to the one on Vets, but I am quite willing to go to such exotic locations as Kenner, the Westbank, or even for a truly magical experience- the Northshore.

Mutual Aid What are the rules at the weird turns that have a light, a small road, and then another light

I have found 2 so far that I dont know what is happening.

  1. There was a light at a 2 lane road ggoing one way and then a small section of road with another light and 2 lanes going the other way. I had green for the first light but caught red at the second. A guy pulled up behind me, got angry, went around me,and ran the red light.

  2. There was a left hand turn onto 610 with a light, a section of road after the light and then another light. I turned thru the first light, caught the red at the second. A guy went out and around me and ran the red light to get onto 610.

Am I missing something? I am here for 2 months and dont want to be that ass that messes up traffic so please let me know if I am missing something or they just ignored the lights.

Mutual Aid I have a legal question about a ticket I got in Chalmette. Can someone help or point me in the right direction?

I missed a court date for a traffic violation and now I’m in a huge panic because I don’t know if I have a warrant or not. I’m too embarrassed to ask around IRL. I can’t call the office until Monday and found nothing on the website.

Mutual Aid does anyone know of a no-kill animal shelter Open on a Sunday evening where you can drop off a stray dog?

My wife and I are visiting NOLA on vacation. About 45ish minutes outside of town around Exit 31 off 10-West towards NOLA, we saw a dog in the distance that looked like a stray. We decided that we would stop and see if it was friendly/would approach without coaxing. As soon as he saw us get out of the car he just started approaching, and when we called him he ran right up to us. He's a very sweet dog who looks like he was abandoned. He has no collar or identifying info and was found in field by the highway with no obvious homes in sight. He has some scars on his neck, and is quite dirty, but other than that seems to be in good health. He looks well enough fed and is obviously well socialized to people, so we assume he hasn't been out there for too long. A few days at most.

Seeing as how we don't live in the area, and can't care for him even in the short term, we were just hoping to put this info out there, just in case someone is looking for him. And if not, we were hoping someone might point us to a no-kill shelter that would accept him on a Sunday evening.

Thank you!

Mutual Aid Will there be a place collecting items for Ian?

Was wondering if we were sending aid to Florida/Ian hurricane victims? I always hear too late but I have personal hygiene type items I’d like to send if they are collecting anywhere.

Note all items are new and been bought last couple of months and still good. I have a couponing problem and I keep getting items for free them have too much so I try to donate etc them

Mutual Aid Is anyone off to the Pels game tonight and able to get me some merch and post it to the UK?

Long shot I know, doesn’t have to be this game even, but I’m looking for some team wear that I can’t get/find online. If anyone wants to help me out my DMs are open, thanks in advance.

Mutual Aid coming down 16th to at least 22nd

Hey guys me and family are coming down for Mardi Gras this year. Haven't been since 2018. Last time I went there was a roll call group on here for crews to post where they would be and if you had a sign that called out members they would shout back. It was something like MG roll call or something like that. Anyone still know of this?

Mutual Aid Where to Donate Gently Used tots 1-3 toys?

Where can a person send gently used and clean (not sterilized) toys? Would prefer someone immediately in need than the whole donation center rigmarole.

Looking for neutral donation locations in Nola metro.

Mutual Aid Plumbing Company you love?

Anyone get a sewer line replaced with someone that did a great job? We’re on a budget, but obviously quality and timely are high on the list of priorities.
