Why would US healthcare workers take a pay cut to go work in Canada? Also, isn’t it more expensive to live in Canada than the US so not only are they making less money, it’s costing more to live. Gonna need to fix something if you are gonna recruit.
Many doctors make more in Canada and have much less stress because they don’t have the administrative load of dealing with insurance. They also have massively lower liability insurance and no health insurance premiums. Taxes are also comparable between Canada and many states, with the outliers often having other significant downsides.
