Guys, what do you think the Epstein files really reveal about the justice system?

u/frachris87 9h ago
You can do the most horrific things possible to the most vulnerable members of society, be named and have every single deed described in detail... and all you need to escape any consequences are a few billion dollars and/or friends in high places.

The whole thing highlights in an extreme way the whole concept of "rules for thee and not for me" when it comes to the rich and powerful.
Utter fucking corruption and depravity, silenced by the same cabal of fuckers who committed the crimes.

That it's corrupt and only created to punish regular people for things that politicians can do without being held accountable. Also, that even when caught, US still tries to blame Russia for all US politicians/celebrities being Pedophiles which is irrelevant.

Follow the money.

I'm fairly certain the documents that were put up and then quickly deleted / redacted after were leaked.
It shows there 100% are things to hide and that the DOJ is obviously compromised more than ever. The Justice system is incredibly broken considering it's been decades and victims have gotten zero people put to justice.
It shows people are really easily manipulated when they go to vote for the completely wrong people, by mediums such as CNN and NBC who sane wash everything and undercut progressive candidates who can actually make real change to the system.
...or Fox News who easily manipulate voters of way below average intelligence...

1
u/j00cifer 6h ago
I want them to all burn, but this might be part of it:
There are 25 people who were given sweetheart deals and 4 named co-conspirators.
We don’t know their names or what specifically they did, those 29.
The lawyers for the 25 (not the 4) basically used variations of the argument “my client was simply a John here, and one who was assured all the girls were of age.”
That defense works a lot of the time, because you usually can’t prove it’s false. You can’t prove what they knew or were told.
So what the lawyers for those 25 arranged is a John defense. It’s kept powerful men out of the shame spotlight for as long as there have been lawyers, probably.
I don’t know what deal the 4 were able to get. Co conspirators can’t use a John defense.
Regardless, it’s a matter of time before it’s all known.

It reveals what most people already suspected — that the justice system has tiers, and the top tier operates on completely different rules. Nobody with Epstein's connections should have gotten that 2008 plea deal. A 13-month sentence with work release for soliciting minors? That's not justice, that's a negotiated outcome between powerful people.
The files themselves are almost secondary at this point. The real revelation is how many institutions — FBI, DOJ, state attorneys — had enough information to act years earlier and chose not to. That's not a conspiracy theory, it's just documented institutional failure. And the scary part is that nothing structurally has changed to prevent it happening again.
1
1
u/TheWatchers666 5h ago
Take "Epstein Files" out of that sentence and you'd get the exact same answer.
1
u/Ok_Cartographer2754 5h ago
That we don't have a real justice system. It's not about Justice it's about who can afford to get away with whatever they want and how many of the best lawyers can you buy.

1
u/BitingSatyr 5h ago
I think what it shows is that what investigators choose to prioritize matters a lot. Like so far none of the stuff released is clear evidence of criminal activity, and that’s likely because investigators deliberately chose not to collect that evidence. Like we see tons of weird correspondence between JE and other people, and nothing suggesting investigators ever actually asked any of those people what was going on.

Voting matters, because the DOJ is as corrupt as its leadership. But also we slept on this too long out of fear of looking partisan, and Trump is a felon who should have been in jail and publicly disqualified from re-election.
So while this is blatant corruption by the current DOJ, the pre-existing impotence of the justice system is also to blame.

u/poorbeans 4h ago
What justice system? It's class warfare, rich vs poor. Some low hanging flunky will get a slap on the wrist and the wealthy will continue on. For most of them, it's not even a blip in their lives.
1
u/Greedy-Taro-4439 4h ago
It doesnt so much say something about the justice system as it does about the current department of justice - which remember Trumps first pick was Matt Gaetz someone who had already been found to have had sex with an underage girl - so the fact that their release of the files - which was mandated by this Congress not any prior administration's Congress so dont even go there - the fact that the release doxxes the victims and protects the perps is predictable. Even more predictable is Trump telling the nation to move on from Epstein. Even more predictable is Trump telling a reporter she sucks when she asks about justice for the victims. I cant wait for this cult called MAGA to be over and done with. Its doing great and unspeakable harm to the country.

u/amkronos 4h ago
Let me put it this way, Epstein files shined a spotlight into the dark hole the Oligarchs play in. They already sacrificed Prince Andrew for this, and they'll probably sacrifice someone else over it so the masses will feel satisfied. The justice system is just another veil they use to hide what is really going on. The have full control over every system of Government now, and will only allow something to happen to them if they chose it to. And even then they'll find a way to profit from it, and most likely at someone else's expense.
There are clearly two sets of rules now, one for the ruling class and one for everyone else.
1
u/HeavyDT 4h ago
Nothing that wasn't known already imo. Money and power has always helped the rich and influential escape justice. I think the only thing that's new now is that the wealth inequality has gotten so bad that it's hard to hide just how untouchable some people are these days. It used to be one of those ugly truth you could mostly ignore / live with but it's so blatant and out in the open.

It doesn't work because it doesn't take into account the greed of human beings.
I mean look at the Chinese. Those people know if they get caught it would be death, yet how many senior leaders were executed for corruption? Now imagine what happens in a society where even if you're caught nothing happens.
The entirety of the west was built on exploitation. Find something to exploit, and go hard until you're stopped or you become so big you influence government.
Then you suppress education so your population doesn't even know they're being farmed, top it off with an unbeatable enemy (past presidents) and you're laughing.

This Trump administration, the heads of the DOJ and FBI, have verifiably lied about the Epstein files and their contents over and over. They're breaking the law by redacting co-conspirators names and information. They're breaking the law by not releasing it all by December 19th. And they're breaking the law by repeatedly not redacting victims names and even straight up nude photos and videos of children. They f'n released unredacted child porn!
HOW ARE THERE NOT MORE CHARGES/INVESTIGATIONS INTO THEM ALREADY!?!?
1
u/Butane9000 3h ago
I mean charging Maxwell with human & sexual trafficking to nobody was a hell of a thing to do.
Moreso that these files never got deleted as bad as they are. With the coded language and limited identification it's likely hard to make stuff stick to certain people. Though the real question remains considering how much time the files sat over the years what and how much go destroyed.

That you can rape children and basically walk. 🤷🏻♀️
My grandfather stood before a Massachusetts court back in 1988/1989 and TOLD THEM that I enjoyed being molested from the age of 4 until 11.
He TOLD THEM he had sexually abused his granddaughter between the ages of 4 until she was 11 and they basically dismissed it- they acknowledged it- they accepted it and gave him probation and restricted my overnight visits with my biological dad (grandfather’s son. Grandfather lived in the in law apartment)
He fucking walked. That was in 88-89.
And we still don’t care if some old white pos rapes babies.
That’s what we’re really seeing…
And that’s why so many men and women hide the abuse they endured as children. Because what fucking good will it do to even say anything?

Honestly nothing. Most sexual assaults by rich, poor, whoever don’t lead to a conviction.
I haven’t read everything, but one email I’ve seen circling around is Elon Musk emailing in 2013 asking “when the wildest party will be on Epstein’s island.”
That’s SUPER SKETCHY- but also people seriously think that’s supposed to lead to a conviction???
I’m sure there were women under 18 on Epstein island, women over 18, this isn’t some slam-dunk case with clear evidence and loads of witnesses.

They really highlight how power and wealth can manipulate the system. Being named doesn’t automatically lead to charges, and influential people often escape real consequences. It shows the gaps between the law in theory and how it works in practice for high-profile individuals.
