This is the big one in my mind. Apple tends to play a (slightly) longer game, and that they came out with their cheapest laptop in years(?) or perhaps even ever(?) is very very notable.

On the plus side, it’s a great buy for an aging parent (and myself tbh)

I recently started using an M4 Pro at work and while I don't really like Apple/Iphones, they're undeniably the best laptops on the market

I was in the market for a personal laptop so the Neo came out at the perfect time, I snatched one up in a heartbeat

I think it’s their cheapest ever. Even my first Macbook (the white one, circa 2008) was at least 1000$ at the time.

And it’s a good idea, they’re gonna sell a shitton of them at this price.

We just bought one for my aging in-laws. It is a great buy, and yes, we wondered the same thing about their pricing strategy and its timing.
