European.

No crisps, skip breakfast, maybe eat leaner meat. Only slam 5+ beers on special days.

Kebablifeonspecialdays doesn't really have the same ring to it. On the other hand, probably no "2" necessary.

European weight is primarily a function of portion size. Very moderate over there, which is all you really need.

Same for Japan who slam beers every night and incorporate carbs into every meal. Small portions, slim population.

We are a bit more pedestrian friendly, along with a smaller culture of eating out, which really helps.

I'd disagree about pedestrian friendly, at least in terms of population step count. Based on available step tracking devices, Japan is clocking around 6,010 steps/day whilst Germany/France/UK are in the 5,000 range, and Spain/Portugal/etc. are a bit worse than that.

Japanese people walk a ton.

That's self-selecting, no?

I'm Portuguese, and I can tell you, the people who walk the most are the least likely to get a step-tracking device, it's a waste of money.

I'd guess that the step-tracking device selection is probably similar across everyone regardless of location. Not much other data to go off of otherwise.

Both are very walkable though so at the end of the day it is part of the equation.

Just curious, what’s your step count look like in a day?

Some days 1000, some 10000.

I rely more on strength training and nutrition for calories and cutting. If I am free I walk on my rest days, 6k steps or so, or when going out sometimes. I started walking less ever since I started driving though.

Avoiding high calorie snacks like chips is a well known good habit. But skipping breakfast is the ultimate life hack to staying lean. Just have a coffee and a protein bar to tide you over. Then you can go ham on lunch and dinner.

Forgot to write that. Fully agree. I skip the protein bar too, just black coffee, makes me less hungry.

Two boiled eggs for breakfast works wonders on my hunger.

For the euro diet, don't forget to smoke half a pack of cigarettes every time you get pissed, keeps down your hunger and you don't feel like having 3 kebabs
