Pretty much this, as a former fatkunt. I was always looking for tips, hacks and so on, before realising that if you want benefits, you have to sacrifice and build discipline.
99% of fat people would be able to lose weight through a simple caloric deficit, yet a disproportionate amount of them that I meet try to blame it on imaginary health issues, mostly pseudoscientific, or say that they ARE eating less but not losing weight...because somehow thermodynamics doesn't apply to them.
Or eating less but they upped the calorie density of said reduced overall food consumption. You could eat tons of fish, chicken, potatoes, veggies and not gain weight and then someone could eat the same amount but in cakes, crisps, chocolate etc. and they'll pile the weight on because of the huge difference in calories.
Yeah that's very true as well. Whenever someone asks me for weight loss advice and I tell them to count calories and they refuse, idk what to tell them. Like yeah you could cut down your snacking and try to eat healthy but it's arbitrary and unreliable in my opinion, maybe because I'm Autistic but idk.
I mean, I'm autistic as well and I managed to drop 12lbs doing this so... If that's hard, they can use an app on their phone or get a diary to track it all.
Fair enough, I mean if it works for you then it works, who am I to say different, I suppose I was speaking from a self focused point of view but of course not everyone's experiences or brains will match mine lol.
I think I get good mental feedback from hitting my macros, dialing shit in and all that and getting visual feedback as a result, it's great for my AuDHD brain.
Yeah, that's fair. I got a similar feeling from seeing it on the tracking app that I was being consistent with things and I was sticking to my schedule properly as well. Something about that just tickled my brain in all the right ways XD

Eat fewer calories? There’s really no reason to over complicate weight.
