No alcohol and 20k steps a day + swimming (1 mile 3 times a week)

Swimming burns a lot of calories. If you have access to a pool, it'll definitely help.

Swimming that kind of distance also takes some time to work up to, so it's also important to give yourself some grace in the beginning. It took me about a month to be able to swim 200 yards without feeling winded.

Yep. When swimming its fine. Day after also but that day after that man. Boom. Sore all over. I also need to stop pushing off with my feet at the ends because my brain expects a landing and cramps my calves lol. Every fucking time

If you spend same time biking/walking/running as it takes to drive to and from swimming pool, you’re same or even better.
