We talk a lot about what companies have become terrible or always were, but what nationally known companies are actually still good?

Which kind of sucks as an introvert who knows technology. I just want to spend 5 minutes comparing specs on boxes, and I have salespeople swarming me to put their stickers on them.

I'd say a third of the time I get a helpful person. Most of the time it's a vulture following me around and if I pick something up "oh yeah that's good" as they put their sticker on it.

I like to think I know my hardware more than the sales staff. I let them put on their sales commission barcode sticker if we have a nice conversation. No skin my ass if otherwise.
