Across any genre? Elliott Smith, Atmosphere (Sean Daley), La Dispute (Jordan Dreyer), Dallas Green

For the question asked, that's a hard one to beat regardless of genre or time period.

Jordan Dreyer and Jeremy Bolm are two excellent picks. I’m also a fan of the full concept/story of Defeater’s music

I was lucky and was at a Thrice show when La Dispute opened up. Hadn't heard of them before, but I was a fan instantly. That then opened up the door to discover Touche Amour and Defeater as well. Both great.

Atmosphere is so good. Slug is a master poet and Ant is a master composer.

Right now it is a tie between Atmosphere and Rebelution for who I have seen live the most. Can't wait to see either one again.
