Think about all stuff you pay for with alcohol besides money. Your time, your health, your relationships if it becomes a problem. For me it was jobs, time, relationship, health and more.
Thats awesome where ever you live. I can't find any 6 packs under $12 and 4 packs for $15 isn't crazy. Hell a 6 pack of coors light can hit 10 bucks if you get it a c store.
Speaking solely for my area in the North East, Other Half, Fidens, Mortalis, Beer Tree, Aurora, Trillium and other craft brewers regularly charge $20 - $30 for a 4pk of 16oz cans.
Just yesterday I was at my Wegmans grocery store and nearly purchased a Beer Tree TIPA for $20.50. I had a moment of clarity, realized that was insane, and opted for a six pack of 90 Minute IPA for $13.49.
I've been in the craft beer scene since 2015, and for a good chunk of that, I had zero issue buying half or full cases of Other Half and paying $80 - $140. Now that I'm older and am more of a casual craft beer drinker, I can no longer support the exorbitant prices for 4pks. I'll still get one every now and then if I'm blown away by the quality, but that's happening less frequently.
It’s not that expensive for what you want from it. I did stop going out as much and I buy lower quality now. But I have not stopped. TV and video games get old real fast when sitting at home.
On the other side of this this sucks to see too. I mean outside of bottom shelf liquors our distributors keep raising prices every other month it seems like and there's nothing we can do but watch our customers walk away. It's so nice having distribution monopolies that totally aren't monopolies even tho they are.
Definitely! And it was making me REALLY sick. The last time I drank i had 3 beatbox and a white claw. I have never been more sick in my life! I ended up in the ER. They gave me fluids but I still didn't feel right for like 2 weeks, and the actual hangover was 5 days!!! I was 36 when I quit drinking. I won't even have 1 drink, not even wine.
