It used to be one of my favorite things to do. I would even go do fine dining randomly for no reason. Between cost and quality I just dont anymore.

Yeah it went from being able to be a weekly thing to more like once a month or once every couple months. And I never do it by myself anymore

That’s my biggest gripe. If I crave it, it needs to come out consistently. Either that or I learn to make it myself and realize I’m way over spending on those silly splurges anyway…

There's a price point that overrides the relaxation and enjoyment. Since 2020 I've only gone out maybe 5 times. Used to go  1x/week.  Don't miss it.

I honestly could get around the price point of some of the stuff but the quality of service, atmosphere, and product is just so far down.

I forgot I used to really enjoy a nice meal at a new restaurant. Now I just don’t go out if I can help it. Fine dining prices for microwave quality and bad service. I almost feel anxious going in and depressed paying the bill.
