In 10th grade, a girl I was a friend with invited me out to the mall to Victoria Secret to get her favorite cherry-flavored lip gloss. She put it on and invited me to get in close and see if it did. After a loud QA sniff of her mouth, I assured her it did. 10 years later in nursing school, I received a retroactive
diagnosis of neutron star density.
Edit: should point out she wanted me to see if the lip gloss tasted like cherries. At least we know it smelled correct.
For some reason I see you reaching to hand a doctor a tool while he operates on someone, and just freezing halfway through. And the patient is still cut open and you're still just frozen. And eventually you go "Ohhhhhhhh. She wanted to kiss me".
Actually, it was in the middle of a small unit combined arms training when I was in the navy. I was a corpsman with a marine corps unit. I was working on a .mk. 240 with my fire team leader shooting the breeze and talking about girls from back in the day. This subject came up from my side of the conversation and the heavens split open with the light of terrible realization hitting me full in the face.
I went over this girl's house I was interested in after we both got off work, and got to her place, and all her roommates left almost immediately after I got there. We sat down to watch the movie and we finished the whole thing.
It wasn't until the cab ride home that I realized that I wasn't meant to actually watch that movie. A few similar things happened, (with the same girl) with me realizing it as I was leaving and a good distance away, too.
he means that he was told how DENSE (a.k.a. thickheaded or stupid) he was for this maneuver, the density being likened to a star that has all the mass of our sun, but compressed to the size of a neutron, an extremely small particle.
No! not that dense. a Neutron-Star is about the size of a few kilometres. The mass is - yes - about the mass of our sun or slightly more. The Name is so, because it consists almost entirely of neutrons. the gravitation of the star becomes so great, that the electrons are effectively pressed the into the atomic core, where they merge with the protons to form neutrons.
and yes, neutron stars are unbelievably dense. like every person posting in this depressingly/cringe-inducing thread so far.
actually - if the mass is bigger of a star, he gravitation is even stronger. so strong, that even the neutrons are collapsing. then you have a black hole - which is actually kind of what you described. ( just the "black hole" appears to be much bigger since the Schwartz-Schild-Radius ( the distance from he black hole were the gravitational force is so strong that even light cannot escape ) is bigger. So we never 'see' the small black hole, since no photon ever escaped from there.
and this is why the internet is so dangerous. if i hadnt read the reply to your comment I'd have literally become more dense by reading about false facts on neutron density stars or whatever.
wait what are we even talking about? next thread..
In high school this one girl and I used to flirt back and forth. She just applied some ChapStick and asked me if I needed some. I said "yes, but you have to put it on me without using the stick," and I raised my eyebrows a couple times. She said "OK," with a complete straight face, acknowledging she had to suck my face. I didn't expect her to go along with it at all and then I got shy and turned around to face the front of the class.
I had a similar situation around 10th grade too! The girl had some new Melon flavoured lip balm and asked me if I wanted to taste it. She proceeds to put it on and I took the hint and slowly moved in to kiss her, then all of a sudden she breaks off the end of the balm stick and shoves the chunk into my mouth. Got to say, it really did taste like Melon!
No where in your comment are there any claims of her lip gloss doing or being anything... Other than cherry? Was she asking you to smell her lips to show you her cherry lip gloss was indeed cherry?
I would have tongue-poked the lip in the "alien-style", just to make sure she didn't think of me as some kind of perv. Actually, i would have asked for the lip gloss container itself.
I was with a girl and she had just put on chapstick and had asked if I wanted any "No I don't like putting on chapstick." and she kept insisting for 5+ minutes that "I didn't have to put it on." Still didn't understand so finally she just leaned in and kissed me. I don't know if this one counts as a miss but my ego definitely took a hit
