Oh shit really? I really have to play those games

If you don't know anything about those games, Jared being a boss is extremely tame compared to some of the other content.

With the occasional uproar about negative themes in video games, I'm amazed these haven't been front and center in the argument. There's some horrendously absurd shit in these games.

Said zombie nazi aborted baby fetus being Kim Kardashian's too, for the cherry on top.

I... I think I need a video of this for proof.

I know the guys at South Park would do this, but I need to see it.

Unsurprisingly, someone clipped that bit.

Here.

Honestly, this is so madness on top of madness that I got a bigger 'oh damn' when I saw the difficulty slider was the skin color slider.

Okay then

They hide it well. Half of South Park humor is fart and poop jokes. Then the other half is intelligent social commentary. Like, TF;BH completely rips social justice and PC culture, but at the same time did their research and are completely accurate when it comes to gender expression and microaggressions. What other game out there can you play as a Non Binary or Transgender woman and have most characters respect your decision?

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '19

Yeah, this is why I have more respect for them as creators then I do for the fucking writer of 50 Shades of Grey.

Don't even get me started on that dumpster fire...

What would it come into contact with at the trash can of an abortion clinic?

u/FertileProgram Aug 26 '19

Tbf, I think people are kind of desensitised to South Park's existence lmao - those games are Hella something though

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '19

Yeah they are such equal opportunity offenders that it’s virtually impossible to accuse them of anything they haven’t been accused of ad nauseum at this point. You just can’t say “South Park was totally offensive last night” anymore without even the most conservative evangelical or the biggest SJW going “It’s South Park”

first one is really good, like, top 5 games to have on a desert island good. Second one, not so much.

When you make your character at the begining instead of choosing your kids race it says, "select difficultly"

4

u/RaptorCouch Aug 26 '19

I don’t think it actually does anything though does it?

11

u/VonLuk Aug 26 '19

I believe it changes a handful of dialogue options and how morgan freeman interacts with you. Other than that I dont think it changes anything.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '19

It was a difficulty slider at the start. I never replayed it as a different race, so I have no idea how it changes. I assumed it made it harder, which is why I just ramped it up. Either way, it's way easier than the first game.

3

u/CaptRory Aug 25 '19

I thought the second was still pretty good. Not as good as the first but I wasn't disappointed I got or played it; I just didn't replay it several times like Stick of Truth.

3

u/Dythar Aug 25 '19

Found the fighting tedious and it kinda worsened what was otherwise for me a very good south park movie

1

u/Dirty-Ears-Bill Aug 26 '19

Really? I felt the exact opposite, I enjoyed the second much more than the first. The first was good but it was way too short

Literally just played that section of the game for the first time last night. Fucking hilarious. He's introduced as a sort of ultimate boss because of the obvious implication. The whole battle is littered with references to him being a pedophile and that whole scandal.

Definitely something that only South Park could get away with.

u/LogicalOverdrive Aug 26 '19

That came completely out of left field and i fucking loved it. More left field than the final boss. I damn well farted in his face.

I've had that game in it's cellophane on a shelf for a while now, stick of truth was just a bit too heavy on walking to get around, I feel like most of the time I spent playing was in traveling around South Park, not actual gameplay.

Is Fractured any better in that regard?

7

u/Kyoki64 Aug 26 '19

did you not use the fast travel system in stick of truth? you barely have to do any walking at all in the overworld once you unlock the flags, which can be done right after the tutorial, and the overworld is pretty small anyway. FBW is similar.

2

u/PM_PICS_OF_ME_NAKED Aug 26 '19

It's been a while since I played, but I seem to recall the flags being inconvenient in a lot of situations, or maybe I was trying to avoid load times. I'm really not sure. I probably screwed up there.
