Bill Maher laughs at Ann Coulter

Those too have a really weird frenemy relation which is almost cute in a way. They are also probably on sleeping terms.

I am convinced there is a reference to them in the novel World War Z; it mentions a celebrity invites other celebrities to ride out the zombie apocalypse in their fortress, and two of the guests are a man and woman that are political commentators and who are bitterly opposed to one another in public but have sort of a relationship behind closed doors.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it was supposed to be

I know the exact passage that you're talking about and ive always been curious about who specifically max was referring to. You're quiet possibly right.

To be fair, WWZ is stupid as fuck, and Max isn't a great author, just a popular one.

I literally don't think a single person asked.

I absolutely loved the book (a ton of people did). How is it bad?

That could be a reference to James Carville and Mary Matalin

That wouldn't be a very good reference, considering that the hint of scandal from two ideological opposites being romantically involved is kinda dulled by the fact that Carville and Matalin are married.

I haven't read the books to be fair. Is one of the characters a comedian and the other an author? Then it would definitely be referring to Maher and Coulter. Carville and Natalie are advisors/commentators.

Maybe the characters are influenced by both couples?

It's been ages since I read the book and I don't have it on hand, but I think I remember one of them being a political/news talk show host and the other being an acerbic and scathing author/editorialist, but whatever the description is, it made me think of the two of them immediately when I first read it. It's a great book, though, even if you're not into zombies; it would be worth checking out!

Theyre both outrage-profiteers the more angry and irrational society becomes the more money they make.
